Hey, I'm Anny. I'm based in the Middle East, in Israel. What do I do? I teach people how to navigate their healthcare and wellness. I help people learn to better communicate around their healthcare and wellness story so they can use their healthcare benefits to their fullest supported by the law, so they can learn to manage their relationship with the healthcare systems here, both public and private. I give individuals and their support circles the information to speak aloud with grounded power to be heard above their own inner critic, and external skeptics. I help you ground, so you can live your life without the stress of the bureaucracies sitting on your head and shoulders all the time. My dream is to make healthcare actually accessible to everyone, not just "in name only". Starting back in university, now nearly 20 years ago, friends would ask me for help after seeing the progress I was making in my own healthcare journey, and after I became vocal after surviving rape by two men. At first, people would call or message for immediate help because they tried to commit suicide, and realized partway through that this was not actually what they wanted. Eventually, it grew to advocating for victims of sexual assault, hate crimes, bias incidents, harassment, on campus as a seated regular student member of a particular campus committee. Eventually the suicide calls came less frequently and in their stead, it became support for people who are un- or underdiagnosed in spite of very real, serious health issues (mental, physical, emotional, spiritual). After my own struggle as an immigrant, lacking in knowledge of the local languages, culture, and shared expectations: I started finding people who needed help navigating the healthcare and wellness bureaucracies here, and now feel like I'm at a point where I should turn this into a business so that I can support my own little neurodiverse family and take care of my kids in a way I haven't been able to since I first became disabled nearly 20 years ago. How do I build a financial support system for my special needs family, withou feeling like I'm doing a disservice by charging what my experience, creativity, and knowledge are actually worth.
