The next CanFlip update: The Watchlist, and better token efficiency
You've heard me say it many times. Most of the leads you kill are not bad products. They are bad today. So you track it, you set the alert under the number, and you let the lead come back to you. Here's the problem with doing that in Keepa alone. The email fires, it tells you a price moved, and now you're back in the spreadsheet at 11pm doing fee math on an ASIN you barely remember, trying to figure out if that price actually works for you. Keepa knows the price. It doesn't know your numbers. So I built it into CanFlip. You're on a product, in Keepa or right on the Amazon page. You type in what you'd pay for it and the ROI you want. You hit Track. That's it. That's the whole system. Every night, CanFlip pulls the buy box and runs your real numbers on it. Referral fee, pick and pack, inbound, your prep. It doesn't tell you "the price hit $29.99." It tells you this product is profitable for you, at your cost, today. - The CanFlip icon shows a green number: how many of your tracked products are profitable right now. - Every row shows the gap. "Needs 55 more cents" tells you something a chart doesn't. - Your eligibility dot sits on every row, so you know you're still ungated before you get excited. - There's a note field. Where you buy it, what the deal was, when it ends. Use it. - Got a buy list already? Paste the whole thing in. ASIN, cost, done. The token fix. Read this if you're on the free Keepa plan. I'll be straight with you: the current version has a bug, and it hits the free plan the hardest. I built it, so I'll own it. CanFlip always keeps 50 tokens untouched as a safety net, so automatic checks can never drain your tank. Sounds responsible. Except the free API plan only holds 60. So on the free plan, CanFlip was guarding 50 of your 60 tokens and doing all your background checking with the 10 left over. One seller check costs 10. One check per half hour, best case. And here's the part that actually hurts. Your tank refills 1 token a minute but stops at 60. So while CanFlip sat there being overly polite, about 2 out of every 3 tokens your plan produced just evaporated at the cap. The free plan makes 1,440 tokens a day. The current version could only ever use about 480 of them. If tracked sellers felt slow on a small plan, that's why. My bad.
Ungating inquiring
Hello everyone, My name is Sirak, and I started selling on Amazon this month. However, I have a question. Every time I try to get ungated in a particular category, I end up getting ungated for a specific brand instead, which was not my original intention. How do you know which products to buy from a distributor that will allow you to get ungated in a particular category rather than just a specific brand? Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

@Umer Humayun Hey Umer, happy to answer these. 1. Live check, then cached in your browser. Every ASIN is checked against your own Seller Central account by loading the same approval page you'd land on from Add a Product, and reading Amazon's answer. That result is saved locally (nothing goes to our servers) for 24 hours by default so you're not re-hitting Amazon every time you scroll a Keepa page. You can set it to 3, 7 or 30 days in Options, or clear it any time from the popup or Options. It also clears itself automatically whenever the extension updates. 2. Canada and US right now. You pick which one to check against, and results are cached separately for each, so a CA verdict never gets reused as a US verdict. UK, MX and IN are wired into the code but not enabled yet. 3. Yes, but only when it re-checks. There's no background monitoring of ASINs. If something was restricted yesterday and you got approved this morning, the row stays yellow until the cached result expires, then the next scan picks up the new status. If you want it right away, hit Clear Cache and rescan. 4. The honest list: - It reads Amazon's page, so if Amazon changes the wording or layout, rows show grey Unknown instead of guessing. It's built to fail toward Unknown, never toward a false green. - Status is judged for New condition. If you're only approved for Used, you'll see "New needs approval (Used OK)" rather than a green row. - Seller Central needs to be in English or French. Other display languages come back Unknown. - You have to be logged into SC in the same Chrome profile, since the check runs on your session. That's also why the answer is specific to your account and not a generic ungated list. - Green means Amazon will let you create an offer on that ASIN today. It doesn't cover FBA-side things like hazmat or meltables, and it can't predict IP complaints=
CanFlip Feedback
Im wondering if anybody has some feedback from the new Canflip update. Both things you enjoy and things you would like refined. I would love to hear all opinions to drop a update and fix anything annoying
CanFlip Update Live!
Here is a video breaking down the new features of CanFlip. I worked hard on this update, and I hope everybody enjoys the new tracked sellers feature. We also upgraded a saved filter section. We have a whole new workflow to source without having to ever go on to Amazon. A revamped bulk checker. And much more. If you enjoy CanFlip, please leave a comment on the YouTube video itself. It's going to help me a ton and keep motivating me to bring out new features to help the Canadian community.

@Levi S should stay in USD no conversion But again, transparently I haven't tested it. Too much on my plate 😅 But it should be!
New CanFlip Update is LIVE!
