Daily Energy Help 🔋🪫
I’m curious what everyone here does to maintain steady energy throughout the day. Between teaching full-time, working on my master’s, training basketball players after school and on weekends, and being a husband and father, there are definitely days when the tank feels empty. I try to be intentional about what I put into my body, so I’m not looking to pound energy drinks or rely on a bunch of junk just to get through the day. I’d love to hear what has actually worked for other busy trainers and coaches: - Foods or meals that keep your energy steady - Drinks or hydration routines - Vitamins or supplements you’ve had success with - Meal timing or daily habits that make a difference - Anything you’ve tried that wasn’t worth it Obviously, sleep is a huge piece of it..even if getting enough isn’t always realistic during certain seasons of life. What helps you stay energized, focused, and present when you’re balancing a full schedule?

Sleep. Eat well. Exercise regularly. Time management is not as important as learning energy management. Spend your peak energy times doing the things that move the needle. Outsource those items that drain your energy.
Morning training 🏆
This morning, I trained with my first client in Austin, TX. We focused on ball handling with a focus on control and resistance training. I also focused on absorbing contact and shot contesting. Here is a clip of our warm up 🏀 I placed plastic bags over the balls to help with control and grip strength. I also didn’t want my balls to get scratched up on the outside court 😂

Working with Pro Hoopers
An overseas pro I used to coach against at the middle school level is back for his off season from China and the Philippines. I got to work with him last week and run him through the same curriculum I run our junior high students through..just a different level of intensity and pace. I attached a video clip. You'll see him, another guy who played D2, and my lead trainer who played 8 years overseas too. I look at it as fun and validation..not necessarily for revenue. BUT, I want to know how you guys approach this. How/When should I pivot to creating space for that level and charging them for it? https://www.instagram.com/reel/DZ6TsNqvx9C/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==

@Daniel Cooper Mostly it was for validation that our curriculum fits for any level. And thats how I captioned the posts too. I'm hoping I can use it as credibility to get into that space. And yes its fun for sure. But I'll always remember my friend who owns a martial arts academy would tell me that the kids/youth pay for all the bills. His MMA fight team was more of what he did for fun. But without the kids/youth there wasn't enough consistent revenue. That's what I'm trying to weigh. I know the kids/youth are the revenue driver. But it would be nice to have a few college/pro clients and have additional revenue stream. Or not and just use it for marketing.
