Any book by Osho. But the most eye opening and really life changing was “Love, Freedom, Aloneness”
Let’s get together
I think that maybe we should meet somewhere in the middle, say the Ozarks in Northwestern Arkansas and go hiking in private beautiful land, fish, swim, hunt for arrowheads and crystals if we go South to Hot Spring. We should bring guitars or other instruments and commune with each other. We could do art, until the sun goes down and let me say the peak of a mountains in North Eastern Oklahoma/ NW Arkansas rivals the desert hands down. Magical mountains in that region. But I have access to hundreds of acres of private land and for a couple/few nights us weirdos could meet in person and change the world or just revel in the beauty of it… any ideas, or does this sound interesting to anyone else? I am tired of not being reached by most of society around me because I cannot do superficial anything anymore.

@Jennifer Peña This group is pretty much dead now. In the beginning, it was really great. There were always lots of people online, plenty of interaction, meaningful conversations, people sharing their thoughts and ideas, and genuinely supporting each other. But over time, the whole dynamic started to shift. The genuinely curious, open-minded people were gradually outnumbered by spiritual wannabes and people who have mistaken an open-minded community for a place to preach their rigid beliefs rather than exploring spirituality. You could really feel the quality of the posts going downhill. What used to be thoughtful, interesting discussions turned into a lot of recycled spiritual clichés and spiritual ego trips. So yeah, spiritual ego is a bitch, and the illusion of enlightenment is one hell of a trap. You can preach mindfulness, see angel numbers everywhere, meditate for hours, and talk about higher consciousness all day long. Mostly it’s just the same old ego wearing a spiritual disguise. The ego doesn't care whether you feed it with money, status, or spiritual enlightenment. It will happily wear a halo instead of a crown.

Betrayal and Spirituality
I’ve been off of this channel for a while. I’m going through what feels like the most painful experience of my life right now, and I’m looking for some spiritual advice. I wake up every morning thinking about the betrayal and heartbreak, and my first thought is often, “I just want to wake up from this nightmare.” I haven’t been able to work properly, and this has been affecting me enormously. My life feels completely shattered. My best friend Matt and I have been close for 17 years. I trusted him with my life. He had been there for me through previous betrayals and had actually helped me heal from them, so I never imagined that he could be the person who would hurt me this way. I was in a relationship with Vanessa for about five years. It was a very deep, loving relationship, but also very unstable and painful at times. There was a strong push-pull dynamic. She told me many times that she loved me, that I was the only one, that she wanted to marry me and have children with me, and that she couldn’t stay away from me. We had many genuinely happy moments together. I have pictures of us laughing and being happy together that are very difficult to look at now. I was also there for Vanessa through some of the lowest periods of her life. I supported her when she was in the hospital for her mental health and when she was struggling. I believed in her and saw potential in her even when she was at her lowest. Eventually she ended the relationship and told me it was unhealthy for her and that she didn’t want to get back together. I struggled a lot with letting go because I still loved her and had hoped we could eventually work things out. I’ve been trying to work on myself, especially around attachment, my emotional reactions, meditation, surrender, and trusting God/the universe rather than trying to control outcomes. After our breakup, Matt needed a place to stay because of his work situation. He asked if it would be okay for him to stay with Vanessa for a maximum of three months. I said yes because I trusted him completely. He was my buddy and needed somewhere to stay. Her place was much closer to his work than mine, so it made sense. I also secretly hoped that having my best friend there might somehow help Vanessa and me find our way back to each other.

This book has probably given me more clarity about relationships than anything else I’ve read. It really gets underneath all the usual relationship drama and helps you see the deeper patterns behind why we suffer so much in love.
If God Is unconditional love, what does Jesus Mean by “No one comes to the Father except through me”?
I’ve been thinking about this for a while and I’m genuinely interested in other peoples opinions on this. If God is unconditional love, and Jesus teaches love, forgiveness, compassion, and mercy, how do we take his statement, “No one comes to the Father except through me”? If salvation requires believing that Jesus is God and accepting Christ as our lord and savior, what about people who are born into other cultures or never knew about Christ? God already knows where and when every person will be born. The religion we are steered towards is typically circumstantial. If we were born in a Muslim culture, we are more likely to have a Muslim faith. This is the case for all religions. Did he die only for those who would eventually believe in him? Would his sacrifice be in vain for the majority of people who lived and died without ever believing in Christianity? If God is all knowing, then he would know that most of civilization would not believe this. Wouldn’t that make his love and grace conditional? If God is truly unconditional love, then why would he want his children to suffer for eternity or simply not exist at all, just for their belief? Why would he make someone who genuinely loves God and genuinely loves others, burn or cease to exist? Why did Jesus die for us if belief in Christ and accepting him into our hearts is the condition of being saved? That doesn’t make sense to me or align with love. A pastor and many others have said that God doesn’t send us to Hell, but instead it is us who choose to do so by not believing in him and accepting Jesus into our hearts as our lord and savior. He stated that we reject God and are separated from him by not having faith. He said God is a jealous God, but isn’t jealousy a lower vibration? From what I understand, jealousy doesn’t come from love. I can’t buy into this argument. I would never send my kids to eternal torture or have them cease to exist, simply because of a belief. I’m sure many people would feel the same way. How can we be more merciful than our creator?

I’m personally convinced that the Bible is largely a collection of allegories, symbols, archetypes and metaphorical teachings rather than something that was ever meant to be read as literal history. That also changes the way I see Jesus. To me, Jesus represents what is often called Christ Consciousness, a state of consciousness that exists as a possibility within every human being. So when Jesus says that no one comes to the Father except through him, I don’t understand that as, “You have to believe in me as a person or you are excluded from God.” I see it more as: you reach the Father through Christ Consciousness. You have to discover that state within yourself. The temple is within you. I see God more as the consciousness behind everything, the consciousness that runs through existence itself. Enlightenment, union with God, returning to the Father, whatever words you want to use for it, is ultimately about becoming aware of that reality. And this is also where I struggle with the idea that simply believing in Jesus somehow makes someone a good person. It doesn’t. You can read the Bible every day, call yourself Christian, worship Jesus, talk constantly about how religious you are and still treat people like shit. You can judge people, hurt them, look down on them and behave in ways that have very little to do with what Jesus supposedly stood for. Belief alone doesn’t change your character. But if you actually awaken that Christ Consciousness within yourself, if you genuinely discover that unconditional love toward life and toward other beings, then something changes on a completely different level. At that point, you don’t constantly have to ask yourself, “What would Jesus do?” You naturally start embodying those qualities. You become less capable of deliberately hurting people. You stop needing to place yourself above others. Hatred, cruelty, resentment and that constant urge to judge other people start losing their grip on you. And in that sense, you’re not just believing in Jesus anymore. You’re embodying what Jesus represents. To me, that is much closer to what “following Jesus” actually means than simply declaring that you believe in him.

Who are you, when nobody is watching? No audience? No applause? What remains when everything you’ve learned, imagined, and performed falls away?
