A rare photo that contains Genovese Family captain Pasquale "Patsy" Parrello, pictured on the far right at his popular Bronx restaurant "Pasquale’s Rigoletto" with his arms around famous actor Dominic Chianese, who featured in well known mob TV shows and movies such as 'The Sopranos' and 'Gotti 96'. Parrello’s criminal career has been marked by multiple high profile federal prosecutions. In the early 2000s, he was convicted on racketeering charges following an FBI investigation into organised crime. Despite being known for his cautious approach, including reportedly using electronic devices to detect recording equipment, he was ultimately sentenced to 7 years in prison. More legal troubles continued for Parrello in 2016, when he was among 46 defendants arrested during a sweeping federal indictment targeting East Coast LCN figures. This case also included reputed Philly Mob boss Joey Merlino. Prosecutors successfully argued that Parrello should remain behind bars pending trial, citing intercepted conversations in which he allegedly directed associates to intimidate debtors over unpaid loans. In May 2017, Parrello pleaded guilty to three counts of extortion conspiracy and received a seven year federal prison sentence. During sentencing, Judge Richard Sullivan criticised him for returning to organised crime after already serving a lengthy prison term. Parrello was released from federal custody in January 2022, several months before his projected release date. Since then, he has returned to the Bronx and has been seen regularly at Pasquale’s Rigoletto. While law enforcement has continued to identify him as a significant and highly ranked figure within the Genovese Family.
