Can ShortPulse Handle Two Persistent AI Hosts + NotebookLM Audio?
Hey everyone — new guy here. Thanks for having me! I’ve been following what Scotty has been doing with Keira and some of the other AI characters, and the realism is what really caught my attention. The first time I saw @Keira K , I genuinely thought she was a real person. I’m working on a project where we’re considering creating two recurring virtual hosts — one male and one female — and the quality requirement is very high. They need to look and move convincingly enough that they don’t immediately read as AI, while still being clearly disclosed as virtual/AI hosts. I have a few questions about whether ShortPulse could handle the workflow we have in mind: 1. Is Keira’s current talking-video workflow created primarily or entirely inside ShortPulse? If so, which model/workflow is being used for her facial animation, lip-sync, movement, and overall realism? 2. Can ShortPulse use a downloaded NotebookLM Audio Overview as the audio source? Specifically, NotebookLM can generate a conversation between two speakers. Could we take that two-person audio and use it with two persistent ShortPulse characters? 3. If we have one male character and one female character, can ShortPulse automatically distinguish the two speakers in the audio and assign Speaker A to one character and Speaker B to the other, with each character only speaking their own lines? 4. If it cannot do that automatically, what would be the best ShortPulse workflow? Would we need to separate the two speakers into individual audio tracks first and generate each character separately? 5. Can the same two characters be kept truly consistent across many videos — same face, body, general appearance, voice, and identity — while changing clothing, locations, camera angles, etc.? 6. Can each character have a permanent reusable voice, so they sound like the same two people in every episode? 7. Can ShortPulse create a convincing two-person conversation visually, including alternating close-ups, two-shots, reactions while the other person is speaking, and natural facial/head/body movement? Or would the better approach be to generate each person separately and edit the conversation together afterward? 8. Finally, for people who have done this kind of recurring photorealistic-character work in ShortPulse, which models/workflows are currently giving the most realistic human results? Cost matters, but realism matters much more for this project.

Using NotebookLM Podcast Audio is a great idea. Slide Deck generates some terrific graphics, but usually only up to 15 slides per deck. You can upload the audio into YouTube (private or unpublished) and get a text script; upload the script into Notebook and use it to generate a Video Overview (which gives some good stills during the video) and generate a Slide Deck which generates some good slides. Use ShortPulse to convert all the slides into one style format for style uniformity.

"Can the same two characters be kept truly consistent across many videos — same face, body, general appearance, voice, and identity — while changing clothing, locations, camera angles, etc.?" Following the recommendations of others in this community and the training in Gen AI Workflows, I created a character style sheet for one of my characters, ran it through a video generating tool and the results related to the character were terrific, but consistency in the environment failed. I created a new style sheet that included my character's accessories (iPhone, kitchen setting, etc.) and ran that...the consistency of the character AND the environment was noteworthy.
Giving Life and Presence to my YouTube Channel Mascot
I posted this on the Creator Secrets community board. I'm looking for existing instruction videos or other resources to narrow my experimentation. I'm on the verge of posting my first YouTube video for my new (and currently only) channel, Mindset Business Academy; a channel addressing financial concerns of financially established American seniors 55+. I have a mascot character, Boaz, a wise old owl. I'm soliciting ChatGPT for instructions on how I will overlay a speaking, moving Boaz who narrates my videos, and frequently makes on-screen appearances. I want to generate Boaz's motion clips with motion-matching-voice against a clean background from the start (most AI video generators let me specify this in the prompt) so I can overlay my character on videos as the narrator and instructor. That sidesteps the need for AI rotoscoping entirely and lets me use the simplest, free or paid tool (ShortPulse?, Adobe Premier, DaVinci Resolve, or CapCut, etc.) for the actual compositing. I will save the heavier AI-isolation tools for later if I end up with existing Boaz footage I can't regenerate cleanly. (The attachment is created with ShortPulse).

@Keira K To clarify what I'm trying to accomplish: I want to direct Boaz almost like an actor. For each short narration clip, I want his gesture, facial expression, head movement, posture, vocal emphasis and emotional delivery to correspond naturally with the meaning of the words he is speaking. For example, if Boaz says, “None of these five flags require you to catch a lie or out-think anyone,” I might want a small emphasis gesture on “five flags,” a subtle head shake around “catch a lie,” and a gentle reassuring nod on “out-think anyone.” What is the best ShortPulse workflow for doing this? Should performance directions be embedded in the narration/script, placed separately in the motion prompt, or formatted another way? If ShortPulse supports this, could you give me an example using that exact sentence, showing exactly what I should enter into each ShortPulse field? My eventual goal is to have Claude automatically convert every finished Boaz script into ShortPulse-ready narration + performance directions, broken into short clips for reliable lip-sync and natural motion.

@Keira K Gen AI Workflows it is!
WheyGood! Protein TreatMeal
I was just fooling around with the cow for ad concepts. Creating video's in ShortPulse is addictive AF! WheyGood! is a high protein, cultured dairy product I'm formulating.

My ShortPulse Debut! (New Music Video!!!) 🎥 🎶
Forgot to post this in the ShortPulse group! So I knew that this was going to be a challenge when Scotty and Kirk announced the 7th being the soft release of Short Pulse. I'm away from home this week at Nationals for dance. So needless to say...I'm not supposed to be working on my silly little music videos!! Nevertheless...I couldn't help myself!!! Here is the Bubba Moh version of My Own Man! I used ShortPulse for everything except the lipsync. I used Kling Motion Control for that. But this time I didn't get too intricate with it...i used 25-30 second clips and ran with it. I wanted to use as much ShortPulse footage as possible. For ShortPulse...the first thing I did was add my prompts. When I create my music videos, I have a Project in Claude. The first thing I do is create the image prompts. But I have some anchors that I use for each prompt. Before ShortPulse I would have to copy everything into my Notes app on my mac. Then I would have to click back and forth, copying the anchor, then the individual prompt for the image. Ex. CHARACTER ANCHOR: Bubba Moh — large heavily-built man, broad shoulders and thick forearms, bald head, full dark beard streaked grey, mid-30s–40s, match reference. Wearing a dark navy sleeveless hoodie over a plain tee, no jewelry, no props that warp. Photoreal cinematic music-video still, 35–50mm feel, shallow depth of field, fine film grain, 16:9, no text or captions. WOUND STATE LIGHTING ANCHOR: single hard source — one bare bulb / work lamp / high window shaft. Warm bulb color but crushed and high-contrast, deep black shadow eating the frame edges, the room around him unlit. Isolated pool of light in darkness. ANSWER STATE LIGHTING ANCHOR: soft ambient daylight filling the whole room, morning window fill, corners visible, nothing hard pointing at him. Warm but even, ordinary, lived-in. Lights simply on. So these were the anchors that I used...then the first image prompt is this: 1-A — CORE · Bookend A (load-bearing) [CHARACTER ANCHOR] + [WOUND LIGHTING]. Wide-ish medium shot, locked static camera, eye-level. Bubba sits at a plain wooden kitchen table, camera-left, elbows on the table, one hand loosely clenched into a fist resting on the wood. An empty mismatched wooden chair faces him across the table, camera-right, unoccupied. A single bare bulb hangs low over the table, hard warm light on his face and fists, the rest of the kitchen swallowed in black. He stares at the empty chair, jaw set, not sad — hard. Night.
