Content Fears
After speaking with a ton of y'all recently, one common theme has come up: the fear of posting content! - Wanting to be perfect - If it will be visually appealing - Worrying about judgement and people's opinions - Not knowing what to post I understand how daunting it can feel in the beginning... trust me. The biggest hurdle is the first few posts, once you start posting every single day, making it a HABIT - it slowly fades away. At the end of the day, everyone has their own lives going on and it truly not worried about you, they have their own stuff going on. Are you posting daily? If not, how come?

Live your life!! Who cares about others opinions. Life’s too short
Defensive drills
I am looking to implement more defensive drills into my training sessions. Any ideas on which ones? 1on1 drills are hard for kids who are already struggling at defense IMO

I guess you’re right.. what defensive principles or concepts do you mainly try to focus on
Stabilize the elbow
One of the most important shooting keys comes down to getting the basketball to the “2” position and keeping a stable elbow If the elbow flares out or goes back (closer to face), it causes the basketball to have more variability and thus less of a chance to go in When teaching shooting, do you try and fix mechanics?

I use a wall drill that I seen shooting coach Mike Dunn teach. You have the shooter start with the ball standing straight up, and then you tell them to go to position 1, which is them having their legs and hips, loaded their wrist loaded, and the ball around their waist/stomach area, then we go to position 2, which is them having the ball in a setpoint right around their head and making sure the elbow is somewhat underneath the ball, but the main thing with this part is to make sure that only the Ball is moving up to position 2, our legs and hips stay loaded and we focus on being patient, once we are there, then we go to three, which is just extending our legs, our arms and everything at once. Once they understand the three positions it’s very easy to coach them through it as you just have to say 1, 2, and 3. Once they get the sequence down, then we move to actually taking real shots.

Honestly I like to just throw them a low pass or have them toss it out to themselves in an awkward catch position, and then have them get into and execute a proper sequence even with a “bad” start.
Progress 📈
I have a 400 Shot Series I like to use to test our high-level players when we are making mechanical changes. It's a great litmus test to see where they are at, and test them every few days to track progress/see improvement. With our guy Rayan (career 32.2% three point shooter), our main focus is improving his mechanics and consistency so he can shoot 38-40% this season. The first time we tried the drill: 204/400 (51%) The second time (tonight) we tried the drill: 236/400 (59%) The goal for all of my players is to be between 75-85% with no defense. Day by day, we are making 1% improvements! Let me know if y'all want the 400 shot series and I'll send it below.

Social Media
Any tips on this reel? I’m trying to post daily and really take my social media to another level. I’m wanting to get new athletes in bigger markets and get into online coaching

This reel of mine has 392k views and I don’t really understand why. I’ve tried recreating this style of reel but haven’t had much success. It seems very random as far as what hits and what doesn’t. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DZuwGQpOoKy/?stkn=eWs5b2Jzc3oyaTBu

Once a day right now. Trying to get some more workouts recorded so I can post more often. Any suggestions on how many times I should post?
