End of August Disbursement Batch
There's no recent posts on any of the Maestro subreddits where people are sharing updates so I wanted to create this so anyone who's got an August disbursement date and has updates on their end or got a deposit/Title IV email from Campus President Sims can share them to help others get a better idea of the progress since Maestro doesn't want to say anything about it publicly. I'll post as well if I get any updates of my own.

Federal Loan Program Ending...
I am sure I do not have to repost the email that everyone should have gotten by now, but I will let you guys know what I hear from Ms.Sims about those of us waiting on disbursement 3. But this is not too reassuring, to be honest.

I was due for my third payment on August 3. I’m a March cohort. I put in a ticket to have someone contact me regarding it still haven’t heard anything back that was like three days ago.

If you transfer, or if maestro closes, you still have to pay tuition even if it’s 15% less and for most of us the Pell that we had were used up Maestro.

@Natasha Ackerman I did apply, was approved and even gave my bank info. I’m just waiting for the award letter and actual loan.

Laptop?
I tried to ask while ago through reddit, but it said posts about laptops are blocked. Has anyone received their laptop yet? If so what kind do they send and how long did it take?

@Fareha Ali I I have to agree with that. My heart dropped when I saw that they were starting to pass out the Neos. I am not currently nomadic, but I might reach that point soon. Not to mention that even casually working with AI I have several programs and several windows open at once to have that limited right out of the gate just seems counterintuitive. I’ve been trying to stay optimistic and see how everything works, but it’s hard especially since I haven’t even gotten my student loans yet. I don’t know if I’ll be able to buy a usable machine with that.
