Hey folks, I know most of us don’t make our living playing guitar, so what is your profession? My career was in electronics and technology development. I’m now doing financial advising and building amps and stuff as a hobby. Guitar collection currently sits at 10 with one or two more incoming. I’d love to be out playing live again if my schedule wasn’t so whacked.

I’ve been thinking about replacing a single coil in a strat bridge position with one of those hot rail humbucker pickups. What has been your experience with them?

What is your A reference on your tuner? I use 432 on my acoustics because it’s a frequency that aligns with our body’s energy. A friend of mine, who is the classical and baroque guitar professor at W&M, uses 430.65 for his house note. What’s your view on this and how do you apply it?

What is the longest performance you ever played? Where was your mindset before and after?

When I was a kid, someone gave me this original EH LPB-1 booster. These date from around 1968. There have been many copies and different configurations, but I think this is where it all started.
