I first started grounding in March of this year and since then I've got tremendous benefits. It's helped me a lot with dealing with stress, anxiety, and a dysregulated nervous system. And it really has been something that I added to my healing journey just to really fan the flame, so to speak. For the past few months, I've only been doing it for about a few minutes a day, essentially I mean not every day, to be honest, but most days. Let me explain further… Grounding is simply just walking, standing barefoot outside on grass. How I do it is I just go on this 15-minute walk 6 days a week. I wear barefoot shoes for my walk to the destination and on the walk returning home, I just take off the barefoot shoes and I just walk barefoot on the mud and on the grass. It's totally safe and I've never got injured or cut or anything like that but of course you need to be careful with that because I don't know where you live. There might be glass. There might be nails or something, if so you can always use your back garden too and etc. Really if you just get a few minutes every single day, then you will get such a tremendous benefit from doing this practice of grounding, particularly for your nervous system and all that jazz, which is very important, we know. This will help you on your healing trauma journey and is really good for managing stress.
