Business
So after a year and half just really taking step back from the business world. I focused on settling down in a new state after spending 13.5 years building myself in another state. Also focused on my family and trying to find a balance of wanting to start a family and atheltic training. Anyways I am diving back into really setting up an online platform I can sell One off programs in hopes leads to 1x1 clients later on. In the past I have strictly got all my clients organically (through event coverage, talks, referrals and past athletes I worked with on teams). I know it’s a lot to say but I truly never had to do a ton of marketing or setting a platform up. I am looking into switching my current programming platform but wanting to see what others are using. I was thinking having a store front for programs like hamstring , shoulder stability ,etc. Insight? I know I need to grow my Social media but trying to figure out how else to get out there and what platforms are easier for delivering one off programs.

I run meta ads from my business IG locally and nationally. Gets me 75% of my clientele. The rest is local organic stuff.

Difficult Patient Satisfaction Help!
How do you guys deal with difficult patients? I had a 14-year-old basketball player come in the other day with back pain. He rated it a 7/10 when bending over and could only get down to his knees. 50 minutes later, he was able to straight-leg toe touch with his fist touching the floor. He could walk without pain. He could do high knees, butt kicks, and active warm-ups without pain. Objectively, we made a HUGE change. But he was still saying he “felt it.” So I asked him what he felt. “A stretch.” 😂 His dad was thrilled with the results. But I could tell the athlete wasn’t. And honestly, these are some of the patients I find the most difficult. When the objective findings improve dramatically, but the patient still isn’t satisfied because they can feel something, it can be frustrating. How do you guys handle these situations? How do you get the patient to understand the difference between “I feel something” and “I’m hurt”?

@Josie Grigsby appreciate this! I am guilty of feeling like if every session isn’t a home run I’m missing something!

@Josie Grigsby I'll use that phrase with my clients, but remind me not to use that one with my wife lol
Local Partnership Win
Just sold a package to a local QB Training facility. I'm making a movement screen for them, showing their staff how to complete it, and creating all the programming/fixes that will be posted around the facility with my logo on all the visuals. Also planning a collaborative social media launch of the program. Super fun to get involved with the community like this!

@Jt Blanke now the key is to fix those up! I worked with the college wrestling program right after school, and we did FMS scores just like that. We then did corrective exercises at the beginning of every practice for their corresponding week links. Over the course of a year we saw an average increase in scored by 3 1/2.

@Jt Blanke big thing I’ve found is total ROM arc. Pitchers I’ve worked with have felt PHENOMENAL when we push rotational arc close to 250!
Hey y'all
Hey I'm Tyler, born and raised in Lincoln, NE. Went to UNL then was in East Texas for 4 years as a GA/ full time AT. Moved back to Lincoln now to raise a family and am in my 6th year working at my HS alma mater and am teaching Pilates on the side cause the school salary isn't enough to support a whole family by itself. Which is why I'm working to build an AT business to be able to get out of the school position.
