Welcome to Clief Notes. Here's where to start.
Welcome to Clief Notes. Here’s where to start. 👋 You don’t need to watch the entire classroom before trying something. Pick a starting point, make something small, and bring your questions back here. 🧭 Find your way around Navigating the Course shows you what’s here and how to get around. If you’re new to working with AI, start with The Foundation. We work through prompting, context, and organizing your files so you can give an AI a job you can actually check. 🛠️ Never ran a coding agent or folder strcutre? Jump into Module 4 This is a good starting point if you want to work through a practical example. The short videos mix animation with actual app screenshots, and there’s a fictional practice folder you can follow along with. - 4.1: Install and First Use — Get oriented and try your first task. Grab the Foundation Practice download from Resources here. - 4.2: Working With Files — Turn meeting notes into a decision list, then check where each decision came from. - 4.3: Think, Then Build — Compare your options, choose an approach, and approve a short brief before asking for the finished work. - 4.4: Project Instructions — Leave useful instructions with your project so you have less to explain next time. - You’ll find guidance for Claude Code and Codex, plus a regular chat route where you save the files yourself. 💬 Use the check-ins At the bottom of the lessons, you’ll find polls and discussion posts. Share what you tried, what worked, and what needed correcting.

Integration developer and architect from Norway, mostly Azure and ServiceNow. I've been using ICM in the repos I work on for a few months, and the most useful part so far was adding it to an old repo. Reading the whole repo to write its context files turned up a workflow that had been failing since March without anyone noticing
Did I Really Lose 2 Weeks Of Code Updates?
I was creating a second version of a pricing engine I built. Claude decided to deploy onto my live site, and then overwrote the local file where the latest updates for that code lived, apparently. The last commit to git was two weeks ago. So, I think I just lost 2 weeks of de-bugging code cause I didn't commit the latest version to git. Is this real? Did I just skip the most important step -- saving my work? This is a real thing, right?

Hi Ruby, did asking Claude sort it out? If not, don't give up yet. I would copy the project folder somewhere first, just in case. VS Code keeps a local history every time you save. Open the file and look at Timeline at the bottom of the Explorer, your debugged version might be there. If it's the Claude Code extension, you can open that chat again, hover over a message and rewind the code to that point. Doesn't work if the file was overwritten by a terminal command though. Last option: Claude Code keeps the chat logs for about 30 days in .claude/projects in your home folder. You could point Claude there, like Jordan suggested, and ask it to rebuild the file from what it read and wrote. Hope you get it back 🙏🏻
