Maybe the Problem Is the People Around Us!.
We talk a lot about protecting our peace. But sometimes protecting your peace means something much less glamorous: Stop giving VIP access to people who bring discount-store energy. 😂 You don't need people who turn every dream into a risk assessment, every idea into a criticism, and every possibility into a list of reasons why you shouldn’t. And no, this doesn’t mean surrounding yourself with people who agree with everything you do. We need people who can tell us when we’re being ridiculous without making us feel ridiculous for dreaming. There’s a huge difference. So choose people who make you think bigger, laugh harder, recover faster and occasionally say: “Let’s do it and see what happens.” Life already comes with enough chronic meh. You don't need to subscribe to it. ✨

If people can't behave properly, it's time to move them to the outer circle. That means, don't burn it all down (unless they are really super toxic and a danger to you) but that means moving them from the inner circle to the outer circle so if you run into them you be kind, but you don't give them full access. Like, they are no longer a co-star in your movie, but instead an extra. It's sad but true, that is what you need to do sometimes to protect your peace.
3D And 5D Split Moment In Real Time
I just now ran an errand. On the way back, a man on a side street looking right at me, pulled a slow left turn right in front of me. I slammed on the brakes so as not to T-bone his car. He was looking and me the whole turn and as he passed my stopped car, he smirked then laughed at me. That's just plain crazy. Now maybe he has some ego trip going on and smirked and laughed at his "win". Here's the thing though: If I had not been paying close attention or not using intuition I would have hit him directly on the drivers side door. Had that happened, he would have been seriously injured or worse. I'm not sure how he didn't realize that and how that possibility was something to laugh about.

Some people laugh when stressed/nervous as a response. That could be the case with this guy.
I know I can coach—but what outcome am I qualified to sell?
I spent seven years teaching English in Thailand, including more than 1,000 online classes. Before that, I led meditation sessions for a small group of adults, many of whom were twice my age. The abilities I know I bring are teaching, listening, patience, simplifying ideas, guiding reflection, speaking confidently, and helping people take action. Now I want to transition from teaching into coaching, but I’m struggling to define three things: 1. Who am I already credible to help? 2. What specific problem could I help them solve? 3. What tangible result or deliverable could they leave with? I feel most drawn to helping men who have outgrown their current lives, feel stagnant, and need clarity and focus about what comes next. However, “helping men get unstuck” still feels too broad and intangible. I’m not looking to promise business, career, or financial results I haven’t achieved myself. I’m trying to identify an established coaching market where my lived experience and teaching abilities genuinely fit. Based on this background, what niche, concrete outcome, or existing coaching category would you investigate first—and why?

Have you considered working with your local shelters to help men stuck in the cycle of being unhoused or such? There are so many living with a lot of unprocessed trauma that needs to be cleared so they have the self confidence to move their lives forward and away from toxic situations.
Why Forgetting Someone Is Hard
I was moved to write this by a post from @Diego Kang. When we think of concepts like romantic love, attraction, friendship etc. they are just that...faceless concepts. Then, a person comes along who becomes the face of that concept. Neuro-science has proven that when we remember something or someone, we are not actually remembering them. We are remembering the last time we remembered them. That's why memories gradually change over time. Like a photocopy of a photocopy times 1000. Errors creep in. When our concept of, say attraction, gets the face of a person, it is very difficult for our mind to disconnect the two and go back to attraction being a faceless concept. It does not know how to edit them out of the photocopy. Now enter a new person we are attracted to. Suddenly THEY become the face of the concept and they replace the old face. Replacement like this is not the only way to disconnect the two, but in my experiences, it is the most common. The reason is that other methods tend to take a very long time and involve shifting both the conscious and subconscious mind. Most of the time, we meet someone else before that happens.

@Veronica Mahon I'm so sorry you had to experience such a toxic situation and sometimes family can be the most hurtful/toxic and I'm so sorry about your dad. It really gets under my skin when someone abuses the elderly as they are so vulnerable and that is where my heart is, with the elderly. I was my mother's caretaker until she passed at 100 years of age. I have some siblings that attempted to take advantage of her but I was very protective of her and they thought better of it and I had put a stop to that. As soon as she wasn't anything they could profit off of, they didn't come around so I understand the emotional weight of that. Sending you virtual hugs.

When Explaining Becomes Begging
(This post comes from one of my most heartfelt breakthroughs: “They’re not confused. They just don’t care.” Basically, a message from my newer, wiser self to the previous version of me that was still hurting, overexplaining, and desperately trying to be understood.) There’s a very specific kind of communication that looks like clarity but is actually emotional begging wearing a nice little blazer. 😂 You explain. Then you explain why you explained. Then you give an example. Then another example, because clearly the first example was apparently written in ancient Sumerian. Then you rephrase it. Then you send a “just to clarify…” message. Maybe they understood you perfectly the first time. And maybe the uncomfortable truth is that you’re not communicating anymore. 💥You’re trying to negotiate their reaction to what you said. Sometimes overexplaining isn’t about being misunderstood. It’s about wanting reassurance that the other person will agree, approve, respond, change, care, or finally give us the answer we desperately want. And that’s where communication quietly turns into emotional customer service. 📞😂 The grown-up plot twist? You can explain yourself clearly without managing someone else’s response. You can say: “I don’t want this.” “I need some space.” “That hurt me.” “This doesn’t work for me.” “I’ve changed my mind.” And then... ⛔️ stop. Because sometimes the most powerful sentence is not the one you keep adding to. It’s the one you have the courage to leave alone. And yes... People may still misunderstand you. They may disagree. They may not care. And occasionally, they may simply have heard you perfectly well and decided to do absolutely nothing about it. 🥺❤️‍🩹That one hurts. But it also sets you free. ✅️You are responsible for communicating your truth. ❌️You are not responsible for making someone care about it. I trust your inteligence, so I resist the urge to explain this further. 😏😁 Breathe on that! And add self-love on the menu. Every day.

Before the days of the internet, dads used to hang signs up all over the inside of the garage that were like modern day memes. My dad had a sarcastic sign "Don't confuse me with the facts, I'm happy in my ignorance" and I always remember that sign when people are exactly as you explained in your post. Sometimes you just need to speak your peace, say it once, say it firm and then let it rest. Some will dismiss you and ignore you and disrespect you, and if they are like that, you just need to leave them be in their ignorance. That they have a life lesson they will need to learn and all you can do is plant the seed and leave them be. It's not our job to overexplain ourselves to them. It's not that people are dense, they just choose to misunderstand you because they don't want to hear your viewpoint. Let them be, let them go. https://www.youtube.com/watch?reload=9&v=IZ3a2gvLcvQ&forced
