Thank you, everybody, for having me here. I'm glad to be part of this community. Hopefully, I can share some good stuff with nutrition and kids. I used to be a preschool and pre-K teacher, and my job was food education and nutrition for them. I did learn a thing or two. Anyway, glad to be here.
Has anyone made homemade pizza? My daughter usually buys dough at the store then lets the kids pick their toppings? What kind of topping do your kids like? Do you ever add vegetables to their pizza if so what kind? One of my kids favorites was always an Alfredo sauce for the sauce, chicken, small chopped broccoli and sometimes mushrooms. But then our go to when we really didn’t want anything real fancy Canadian bacon and pineapple a family favorite! It
We did this quite a bit when Lila was growing up. It's always a good and easy way to get kids involved in food preparation and get them in the kitchen. I could get her to eat spinach and mushrooms pretty easily as long as there was pepperoni with it, and oftentimes we might add chopped bacon and fresh mozzarella too. That makes a really delicious pizza. I also think it's a really good way to give kids the experience of the hands-on food preparation. I believe that's really important.
