Two weeks ago, I had an ROAS of 2.6; one week ago, an ROAS of 3.2; but the daily ROAS fluctuated from days with an ROAS of 0.8 to days with an ROAS of 10.8. All with just one campaign, featuring about 60 to 70 products and a budget of €70 per day. But at the end of the day, it was still a profitable ROAS. Then, on the advice of this group, I launched a second campaign for the non-sellers (zombie and test products), because this was supposed to be the solution for the inconsistent ROAS days. Now I have my main campaign running at €70 per day and a non-sellers campaign at €20 per day. The first week with this setup has been terrible, resulting in a bottom-line ROAS of 1.7. Products that were previously profitable have now become “zombies” and are eating up the budget. As a result, I feel like I can barely test new products anymore, and whereas I used to have 9 profitable products, I’m now down to just 1. And the number of products has shrunk significantly, because the non-seller campaign can ideally only have a maximum of 10–15 products, and fewer and fewer products are left in the main campaign as well. I’ve gone from a total of 70 products to just 44, and they’re more loss-making, and to add, also higher ad costs due to running a second campaign. What do you recommend? Is this normal and just a matter of time, or should I take action?
