When Is the Work Done?
Most of us know how to push. The harder skill is knowing when we’ve done enough and the next session isn’t adding anything. So how do you know when the work is done? Is it when the plan is complete? When the quality starts dropping? Or only when your body forces you to stop? Regrettably, this time my answer was the last one. I still believe in the process. The body just delivered the message before I made the call. What’s yours? 👇

When i think of BJJ I think the work just evolves into something else > taking time off of comp to focus on addressing weaknesses, exploring how to expand your game outside of your comfort zone, or teaching others.
Finish The Sentence 👇
"I know I should stop training when ______." Go. 😂

I have an injury or “something doesn’t feel right.”
Even If You've Never Posted, Drop One Word Below
I know a lot of you read but don't post, and that's totally fine. But I want to hear from you too. No pressure, no paragraphs, nothing fancy. Just drop one word that describes your training right now. Sore. Motivated. Tired. Hooked. Rebuilding. Whatever it is. One word. That's it. I'll go first: Recovering.

Long Weekends Tell The Truth
Long weekends are interesting. Our routines change. Schedules change. Travel happens. Family stuff comes up. It's easy to stay focused when life is predictable. The real question is what happens when it isn't. Do your priorities disappear for a few days? Do they adapt? Or do they stay intact? I'm not talking about being perfect. I'm talking about staying connected to what's important to you, even when life gets a little less structured. What's one thing you've stayed consistent with this long weekend?

Stay connected with family. I enjoy the routine of training during the regular work week but during the long weekends it’s an opportunity to break routine and enjoy time with my family. It’s a good reset and reward for being consistent with training. Coming back rested is a good way to resume the grind after a long weekend with loved ones.

What's one adjustment you've made in the last 5 years that has made training more sustainable?

Started tracking my macros. Weighed my food and ensure hit my macro targets. Learned how to lose weight for comp.
