A clinical psychology researcher asked for our help ($5 Amazon gift card for the survey)
Hi everyone! Recently I got on a call with Kellen Blum, a 5th-year clinical psychology doctoral student at Saint Louis University. Here's the TLDR version: Kellen is running a study on the role of exercise in addiction recovery. He needs participants, and I told him I'd put the word out. You may be able to get a $5 Amazon coupon below, and more importantly, the satisfaction of advancing research into exercise for alcohol recovery. If you've read my work for any length of time, you know that exercise is one of the most powerful biochemical tools available to a healing brain, and it's still treated as a nice-to-have in most of the treatment world. That's not because the effect isn't real. It's because nobody funds the research. This is a chance to put data behind something a lot of us already know from experience. What's involved: a one-time, 15-minute survey about your substance use, exercise habits, and mental health. It's completely anonymous. No identifying information is collected.Eligible participants get a $5 Amazon gift card. Who it's for: this isn't for someone who's still in the depths of the struggle. It's for people who are already alcohol-free and have made exercise part of their holistic plan. (If you're still struggling, email me at [email protected], and my team will reach out to set up a free call.) I'm not being paid for this, I have no affiliation with the study, and I get nothing if you participate. I'm sharing it because research into the holistic side of this is rare, and the only way it stops being rare is if people like us show up for it. Here's the survey link: https://slu.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_8kTDf3U0XbdTfbU Questions about the study go directly to Kellen: [email protected] Onward, Chris

A focus on biochemistry is where my journey begins
I am excited about this program as it focuses on rebalancing biochemistry. I previously read," 7 Weeks to Sobriety" by Joan Matthews Larson ", a program to fight alcoholism through nutrition, an excellent read. Highly recommend.

Great stuff Mallory, keep up the great work! That was also a great resource for me in early recovery. We're here to build on the foundation that Dr Larson and other pioneers carved out, and to bring it into 2026 (because the existing paradigm won't do that). Let us know how it all goes for you!

Hi Claudette, yes we do! You should be able to order it at biorebalance.com. Let us know if you have any issues with purchasing.
Day three going in the books tonight.
Alcohol free for 16 months and then went back to it for 10 months Just not worth it. My “why” has gotten bigger and bigger the older I’ve gotten and farther along I’ve come. Not worth the drain on rest, productivity, lack of energy, sleep, and everything else that goes along with it. Here to encourage others and be encouraged. Stick with it everyone! We got this!

LIVE tomorrow: My conversation with Jeff Packard (6:30 PM EST)
Tomorrow (Wednesday) at 6:30 PM EST, I'm sitting down with Jeff Packard, and I'd love for you to tune in live. Two years ago, Jeff found Fit Recovery while running a solar company and drinking alone every night after work. Today, he spends his time helping others find the same way forward. We're going to talk about what actually changed for him: why willpower kept failing, what Nutrient Repair did for his cravings, and why connection turned out to matter as much as biochemistry. If you're somewhere in the middle of your own journey, this is the kind of conversation that's worth 45 minutes of your evening. Your mental diet is just as important as your physical diet. Watch live here: https://www.youtube.com/fitrecovery See you tomorrow night! Chris
