⁉️ For years, I thought moving faster meant I was moving forward. ⁉️ That I needed to Do more. ⁉️ That I needed to Learn more. ⁉️ That I needed to Stay up later. ⁉️ That I needed to Join another program. ⁉️ That I needed to Keep pushing. ❌ But being busy and building with purpose are not the same thing. ✅ I’m finally learning in this season that Freedom By Faith™ is not about grinding until something finally works. 🤩 It’s about getting clear on what God has already placed in your hands — your experience, your wisdom, your voice — and taking the next faithful step with intention. 🔥 Sometimes progress looks like doing less, but doing the right thing! For me lately, that has meant: ✅ Finishing what I already started instead of chasing the next thing ✅ Learning technology without letting it intimidate me ✅ Protecting my time and energy ✅ Showing up on camera after avoiding it for more than a year ✅ Building systems that support the assignment instead of becoming the assignment! 👉 Faith is the foundation. 👉 Purpose gives direction. 👉 Technology is a tool. 👉 Income is a resource ❌ — not the mission. 🤩 At this stage of my life, I’m not interested in proving how hard I can work. ⁉️ I want to be faithful with what I already carry. Sometimes, when people say, “Ignore the noise,” “trust your gut,” or “follow your instincts,” aren’t they often coming very close to describing an inner prompting—while stopping short of acknowledging the very real voice of the Holy Spirit? Yes, but I also know that every inner feeling is not the Holy Spirit. What we call instinct can come from experience, conscience, fear, personal desire, past wounds, or human wisdom. That is why Scripture warns us: «“The heart is more deceitful than all else.” —Jeremiah 17:9, NASB 2020» As believers, we are not instructed to trust ourselves or our feelings without question. We are instructed to trust God: “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding.” —Proverbs 3:5, NASB 2020» We are also told: “Test all things; hold firmly to that which is good.” —1 Thessalonians 5:21, NASB 2020» The Holy Spirit may guide us through a settled conviction, an inward warning, a lack of peace, a Scripture brought to remembrance, or wise and godly counsel. But His leading will always: 💜 Agree with the written Word of God. 💜 Reflect the character of Christ. 💜 And, produce godly fruit. It will not lead us into anything contrary to Scripture or feed our pride, fear, confusion, or selfish desires (John 16:13–14; Galatians 5:22–23; James 3:17). So perhaps the more biblically grounded way to say it is: 💜 Quiet the competing voices. 💜 Listen prayerfully. 💜 Test what you sense against Scripture. 💜 And, follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. Yes, the world may sometimes come close to describing spiritual discernment while leaving God completely out of it. But “trust your instincts” and “trust the Holy Spirit” are not the same thing. My confidence should never rest in how strongly I feel something. My confidence must rest in the God who speaks, guides, and confirms His truth through His Word.

Long conversations can do more than help us find our individual voices. When entered honestly, they can also build community. We learn where others stand, what experiences have shaped them, and how to disagree without discarding one another. Genuine community is not built by everyone saying the same thing. It grows when truth is spoken with love, people are willing to listen, and boundaries are respected. But clarity creates responsibility. Once we understand what God is asking of us, consistency may require sacrifice. We may have to surrender the response we wanted, the approval we hoped to receive, or the outcome we carefully planned. Jesus demonstrated this in Gethsemane: “Yet not My will, but Yours be done.” Living consistently with God does not mean we never have personal desires. It means our desires do not outrank His direction. Sometimes following Him will cost us comfort, control, acceptance, or an outcome we deeply wanted. That is where conviction becomes more than conversation. 🔹Our conversations reveal what we believe. 🔹Our community gives us space to live it among others. 🔹Our surrender demonstrates Who has the final authority. Consistency is not merely saying the same thing tomorrow that we said today. It is choosing God’s will again tomorrow—even when our own preferred outcome is different.

Jesus expressed the heart and viewpoint of our Father God. He made clear what pleased God, what served others, and why holy living would require Him to live differently from those around Him. His voice was different. His priorities were different. His purpose did not bend to the expectations of the crowd. We are called to live with that same spiritual steadiness. Our convictions should not change clothing every time the crowd changes direction—agreeing today, wavering tomorrow, and remaining silent when truth becomes uncomfortable. Steady does not mean we never grow or accept correction. It means we remain anchored in God while He continues shaping us. He knows each of us individually. He knows when we are sincerely trying to walk in our calling and when we are simply following the crowd. He sees whether our hearts, words, and actions agree with one another—and whether they agree with Him. Move closer to God. Let your mission become clearer and your life become truer. Heaven is not entered by collecting religious credentials or learning the right words to say. Jesus is the door. A transformed life does not purchase salvation; it bears witness to the One we have chosen to follow. Eternity is too weighty for borrowed or fluctuating convictions.

Long conversations are rarely only about expressing our point of view. They also help us define our boundaries, examine new ideas, and discover how much disagreement a relationship or community can hold. They can even help us become more confident in our voice. But our motives matter. ✅ Conversation can create understanding—or it can become a gradual attempt to steer others toward a position we have already decided to defend. Before speaking at length, it may be wise to ask: Am I honestly exploring this idea? 🔸 Am I establishing a healthy boundary? 🔸 Am I listening as carefully as I am speaking? 🔸 Or am I trying to control the outcome? A strong voice does not need to manipulate the room. It can speak plainly, listen thoughtfully, and remain grounded—even when everyone does not agree.
