🤑 7 Reasons Your Book Isn’t Selling
If Your Book Isn’t Selling, Check These 7 Things Sometimes it’s not that your book is “bad.” It may just not be set up to sell. Here are 7 common reasons books struggle on Amazon: 1. There isn’t enough demand for the topic 2. The positioning is too broad or unclear 3. The cover isn’t getting clicks 4. The keywords aren’t helping people find it 5. The categories are too competitive or not relevant enough 6. The Amazon listing isn’t converting browsers into buyers 7. You’re not driving enough traffic to the book The biggest mistake is assuming publishing is the finish line. Your book needs both optimization AND marketing. Which one of these do you think is holding your book back the most right now?

@Krista Brea I’m not currently running Amazon ads and actually haven’t ran ANY ads to this book for years. 🫣
Author Copies
Anyone here selling print books from their website and fulfilling through KDP Author copies...how long does it take to get to the customer on average...is it weeks or what it'd take to deliver any book normally (since I heard amazon don't prioritize author copies)

@Craige Hardel I had a friend in college from Saint Lucia. She swore up and down I also had to be from Saint Lucia 🤣. I’m from Charleston, SC (Gullah Geechee roots) and most of my younger years people thought I was from somewhere outside the United States if they weren’t familiar with our accent.

@Craige Hardel knowing your scenario now, I don’t think 48HRBooks will be helpful to you. There are other fulfillment companies that may make sense depending on how much volume you’re doing. The names are slipping my mind right now. I’ll try to remember to come back and share if they come across my path again. In case it helps, I’ve had situations where I bought my books from Amazon retail and have shipped them to people that paid me separately for the books. It was just the faster option in the situation.
🌟 Community Spotlight: Nicole!
Today I want to put the community spotlight on @Nicole Lesley and the vision she has for bringing her character Coco to life! 💛 Nicole has been doing so many of the right things to move her book forward, but unfortunately, she’s hit some frustrating setbacks with the illustration process. Sometimes publishing throws obstacles at us that we simply can’t control. Because of those delays, Nicole may not be able to release her book by the original deadline she set for herself—but what I love is that she’s still determined to keep going. And that’s what this journey is really about. A missed deadline doesn’t mean a failed goal. Sometimes the timeline changes, but the vision stays the same. So let’s 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝘃𝗶𝗯𝗲𝘀, 𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘂𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗳𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀 as she keeps pushing forward and brings Coco one step closer to becoming a real book! 📚✨ And Nicole, thank you so much for the amazing review you left for the community. I truly value your words, appreciate everything you contribute here, and I’m excited to see your vision come to life! ❤️ Drop some encouragement for Nicole below! 👇

@Nicole Lesley you're not alone! I’m about to release a book that I thought I was going to release 2 years ago 🤪. And I had a kids book client where we were delayed for about a year with illustrations. We ended up getting better illustrations than we were originally getting. And my book is today what it couldn’t have been 2 years ago. Keep going 💪🏿

I finally did it! 📚✨ After writing so many ebooks, guides, and digital resources over the years, I decided it was time to take my writing a little more seriously and officially publish a book. And now I can finally say it… I’m a published author! 🎉 A huge thank you to everyone in this community who has answered questions, shared resources, given feedback, and helped me along the way. I truly appreciate it. 💜 Sometimes you just have to stop sitting on the idea and actually put it out into the world. Thanks @Krista Brea
