Enjoying MSC SEASCAPE
Just watched her dock in Roatan Honduras. Star of the Seas followed us in. I'm loving the infinity hottubs facing the sea. I woke up to watch a sunset and then had these amazing hot tubs all to myself.

@Daryl Albert has never sailed MSC so wasn't sure what to expect. Therfore they exceeded my expectations. It was a bumpy start as I couldn't connect to ship Wi-Fi. Therefore no scanning for the menu. The photo/internet people changed a few settings on my phone on day 2 and things greatly improved. Week 2-4 will be a breeze since I know the ship and worked out all the glitches in week 1. Awesome week all in all.
Thoughts/experience on Travel Insurance?
Have you ever bought Travel insurance? If so was it single trip or annual? Have you ever had to use it? If so were you satisfied with the response?

@Daryl Albert have you ever had to use it?
An international plan for US based members.
I have been using Visible Wireless for several years now, I pay annually and it's very reasonable. I did one cruise on RCCL out of Tampa last year, 2 days in Mexico. I was on the cheapest plan last year and it cost me $5/day to add Global pass for unlimited calls in and from Mexico and unlimited WIFI while in port each day. With 4 back to back cruises from Galveston in August with stops in Cozumel and Costa Maya Mexico as well as Roatan Honduras I upgraded the rest of my year to Visible + for $42. This includes the unlimited calls within and from Mexico as well as unlimited WIFI in port (speed throttled after 2g) and 6 included Global pass days. Since I had 6 months left in the annual plan. The 8 days in Mexico on my old plan would have cost $40 and the 4 days in Roatan would have been an additional $40. No I still don't have coverage on sea days, but TBH that is fine with me. I can check in the 3 days in port and keep up with anything I want. Also can call back to the States or Canada at no extra cost. I don't have an E-sim compatible phone so Gig-sky isn't an option since they require an E-sim capable phone. When I buy my next phone it will be E-sim capable. Till then I think this upgraded plan will do just fine. I depart in 10 days!! Here is a link to the plans if anyone wants to look them over. There are a lot of YouTube videos comparing the plans also. The basic plan is adequate for domestic needs but not great when traveling international. https://www.visible.com/plans?

Cruise casino Comps?
Has anyone in this group had success in getting free cruises from play in the casino? I've been watching many videos about it. The videos appear to make it seem somewhat easy to achieve with a consistent plan in the casino. Just wondering if anyone in here has actually succeeded? I may give it a try on MSC Seascape next month.

Gigsky link
I’m sure I seen that you’ve got some sort of gigsky affiliate link, but I can’t seem to find it. I’m just wondering whether you can share it.

@Daryl Albert since most rooms have metal walls. I would expect service to be poor in interior portions of the ship. Whether it's cell in port or wifi at sea. I've heard many complaints about poor reception in interior areas. My understanding is gigsky works over the cellular at sea "network" so probably weak signals to start with.

For the 4 week of back to back cruising I have booked starting on August 9th I upgraded my cellular plan to one that gives me 2G per day high speed in Canada and Mexico, plus free calling in and to Mexico, the US and Canada all the time. . The remainder of my term includes 6 days of global pass that I can activate in Honduras. It was only $40 for the rest of my annual plan which expires December 29th. I use Visible which is subsidiary of Verizon and pay annually. I sail from Galveston on the MSC Seascape with port days in Cozumel, Cost Maya Mexico and Roatan Honduras. I won't have Wi-Fi on Sea days but that OK with me. 4 days a week, Including the day in Galveston each week should be ample coverage for a month. I considered adding GigSky but it would require a new phone as mine is not E-sim compatible. I used this phone and global pass (international roaming) in Mexico last November. As long as it works I'll put off buying another phone till I actually need it.
