Thought I'd break character from my usual photo submissions. This photo was taken in Afghanistan in the early 2000's. If memory serves me correctly, this was taken at an Afghan warlords drug burn. Good thing I wasn't standing down wind. Unfortunately, I had just shaven off the beard. Does anyone else care to share how their work attire has "evolved."

A bit too warm here in San Antonio to sport the Donegal wool cap I picked up during my recent travels through Ireland, but I’m certainly looking forward to wearing it when the temperatures drop! In the meantime, it feels great to get back to my signature South Texas style—a crisp Western jacket, turquoise bolo tie, well-worn cowboy hat, and a handsome pair of ostrich boots. Two very different styles, each with its own character, but both remind me that great menswear is about embracing tradition, dressing for the occasion, and wearing it with confidence.

Thoroughly enjoying my time in Ireland. Made a special trip to Donegal to pickup a “authentic” cap. This blue-gray tweed flat cap sits nicely — good proportion, not too high or low, and the texture adds interest without being flashy. It pairs well with my silver facial hair and the olive vest + burgundy layer underneath. As an added bonus, the color also works nicely with my eyes…at least that what the sales lady said when I was deciding between an Olive and Brown option.

I sampled I WILL by Giorgio Armani while traveling through London Heathrow Airport, and what a lovely fragrance it is. It has a warm, sophisticated, and confident character, with a rich, modern scent that feels both elegant and effortlessly masculine. I was immediately taken with it and can easily see why this fragrance caught my attention. Looking forward to adding the one to my collection.
