I Reverse Engineered the Bloomberg Terminal and Made It FREE
New video. I took a product that costs $31,980 a year, the Bloomberg Terminal, and rebuilt the screens people use most with Claude Code, using only Bloomberg's public help pages and public data. It's called Amber Terminal, and one prompt installs it on your computer in about 30 seconds. Why it's worth your time even if you don't trade: - It's reverse engineer anything (REA) on a big product: read the public docs, list the functions, rebuild them one at a time. - Claude connects to it through MCP, so your agent can read every screen and answer from real data. It's the same pattern you'd use to give your own agent tools. - You add a new screen by describing it in one sentence. Claude writes the code and a test for it. Get the prompt: https://lewiswjackson.com/q/bbterm-skool-zo Then try one thing: type ASK in the terminal, connect Claude, and ask what the market expects the Fed to do next. What should I reverse engineer next? Put it in the comments. The most-liked one goes to the top of my list.

One of Amber Terminal’s best features is how far you can customize it beyond the basic Bloomberg-style setup. I’ve added my options portfolio and a personalized news feed. After losing money on SNOW, I had an idea: have Claude scan the news for risks affecting my open options positions. Looking back, I found a negative Yahoo News story published at 6:30 a.m. on Monday, October 12. SNOW began falling after the open and continued sliding through Friday’s close. Poof, there went $860. The news scan can research an individual symbol or review the entire portfolio, flagging each contract as HIGH, MEDIUM, or LOW risk and summarizing the relevant warnings. It can use a 3-, 7-, or 14-day lookback to check for analyst downgrades, lawsuits, significant insider sales, and industry trouble. It also checks upcoming earnings dates and other scheduled events that could affect a position. It won’t predict every selloff, but it gives me a better chance of spotting warning signs before entering a trade or deciding whether to keep one open.
