I called Senator Schumer office and I was told about his floor speech and strongly worded letter in defense of protecting social security and Medicare and my response was a floor speech and a strongly worded letter is not legislation and then I asked what concrete legislation are you working on to save social security from being cut. So if your rep tells you about floor speeches or letter remind them that is not actual legislation to prevent benefits from being cut.

I myself will turn 65 in November. 1) I will receive SSDI survivor benefits, correct? 2) If I delay receiving those SSDI survivor benefits until I turn 65 in November, I will receive a higher percentage of my husband's monthly SSDI -- Is my understanding correct?
