Write the post someone searches for in March
Little flip for your content today 🌱 Most posts are written for this week. They're news. By Friday they're gone. The posts that keep working are written for someone searching in March. "How to plan a week of school lunches in 20 minutes" gets typed into Google every week of the year. "My crazy Monday" does not 😂 Before you write your next post, blog or caption, ask: Would someone type this question into a search bar six months from now? If yes, write it like the answer. A title that matches the question. The answer near the top. One example from real life. If no, post it anyway. Just don't let it be your only kind of post. What's one question in your niche people will still be asking next year? 👇 How to write posts that still get read a year from now is the long version, right here

This is such a useful way to look at it! 💡 For The Slothingtons, I think one question parents and grandparents will still be asking next year is, “What are some fun screen-free activities for kids?” 🦥🎨 It also makes me think differently about my Pinterest content — creating pins around questions people will keep searching for rather than only promoting a particular book. ❤️

@Jodie DeOliveira Thank you! 😊 That’s definitely going on my Pinterest list. I really like the idea of creating content around questions parents will keep searching for, while still being able to naturally introduce The Slothingtons. 🦥❤️
One job this week. Name it.
Monday 🩷 What's the ONE job that, if it's done by Friday, makes this whole week count? Not five. One. Write it below so the room can ask you about it on Friday 👀👇

My one job this week is to get more of the right people discovering The Slothingtons colouring books. 🦥❤️ I'm focusing on promoting the books I already have rather than creating anything new, especially through Pinterest and the free promotion opportunities I've found.

@Jodie DeOliveira Oh, I love that wording, Jodie! 😂🦥❤️ “Get kids off screens and giggling” is such a fun way to put the benefit into words. I'm going to try using that message on my Pinterest pins this week and see how it works. Thank you! 📌💕
You don't need an audience to sell the first one
"I can't sell anything yet, I only have 40 followers." I hear this every week, so let me say it plainly 🤍 Your first sale almost never comes from your followers. It comes from somebody who was already looking. Etsy search. Pinterest search. Google. A Facebook group where someone asked the exact question your product answers. Those people don't care how many followers you have. They care whether the thing solves their problem today. So this week: 🔍 Find three places your buyer is already searching. Write them down. 🔍 Look at what's already selling there. That's proof, not competition. 🔍 Put your product where the searching happens, before you post about it anywhere else. Followers come later. Buyers are already out there typing 😉 Where is your buyer searching right now? One line 👇 Where first sales actually come from when nobody knows you yet is the long version, right here

Pinterest, Amazon and Google 😊🦥 I'm starting to focus much more on being where parents and grandparents are already searching for children's activities, rather than worrying about building a huge following. Pinterest is my main focus at the moment, and I'm also going to work on improving how my existing books are discovered on Amazon. 📌📚

@Jodie DeOliveira Thanks, Jodie! 💗 I'm realising that being visible where parents and grandparents are already searching is much more important for me than chasing follower numbers. Pinterest is where I'm putting most of my attention right now, and I'm looking forward to improving how people discover my books on Amazon too. 😊📌📚
Which product would you point a stranger to first?
Mid-week question 👀 A stranger lands on your shop or your link in bio right now. Which ONE thing do you want her to click first? If you had to stop and think about it, that's your homework. Pick it and move it to the top 😉 Tell me what it is. And if you don't have one yet, "not yet" is a real answer 👇

Mine would be one of my free Slothingtons mini colouring books. 🦥🎨❤️ For someone discovering The Slothingtons for the first time, I'd rather give them an easy way to meet the characters and try a printable activity before pointing them towards one of my paid colouring books.
Clinic is open: one sentence, I fix it 🩺
Clinic's open for the week 🩺 Here's the deal. You give me ONE sentence: what you sell and who it's for. Not a screenshot. Not your whole bio. One sentence, typed out, the way you'd say it to a stranger at school pickup. I'll rewrite it in the comments. This week I'm watching for one thing: does she know what she GETS by the end of the sentence? If she has to guess, she scrolls 😬 Drop yours 👇 I'm in here this afternoon.

I create fun children's colouring books for parents and grandparents looking for creative, screen-free activities for kids. 🦥🎨

@Jodie DeOliveira Ooh, I can see the difference straight away! 😍🦥 That sounds much more like something a parent or grandparent would immediately understand and want for the kids. I'm definitely going to start thinking more about what they GET rather than just describing what I make. Thank you! ❤️
