Books that opened the door within me
Books can meet us at exactly the moment we are ready to see something differently. They do not do the inner work for us, but they can give us language for what we are feeling, challenge the beliefs we have accepted without question, and open a door to a more conscious way of living. One of the first books that had a truly powerful impact on me was The Code of the Extraordinary Mind by Vishen Lakhiani. At that time, it invited me to question the ideas, expectations, and rules I had absorbed about life — and to consider that I could choose more consciously what I wanted to believe and create. Into the Magic Shop by James R. Doty was another meaningful read. It is a beautiful reminder of the connection between the mind, the heart, intention, and the way we choose to meet life. More recently, The Courage to Be Disliked by Ichiro Kishimi and Fumitake Koga offered a powerful reflection on responsibility, freedom, and the courage to stop living only through the expectations of others. These books did not give me a final answer. They gave me better questions. They helped me pause, look within, and take more responsibility for the life I am creating. Sometimes a book does not change your life in one moment. Sometimes it simply helps you remember what you already knew, but had forgotten how to hear. I would love to know: which book has supported your path of self-awareness or opened a new door within you?

@Sascha Herdman then we must intend to be very powerful 💪
Today, I invite you to stop.
Choose a place where you can observe calmly: a window, a tree, a street, the sky, a room in your house, or a landscape. You don't need to look for an extraordinary place. The goal is not to find something special, but to learn to see what is already in front of you. Sit or stand for a few minutes, put your phone aside, and breathe slowly. Then, write down what you see. Don't try to make the writing beautiful or profound; just record what is present: colors, shapes, shadows, sounds, textures, movements, light, people, and small details. When you feel you have finished, don't stop yet. Look back at the same place and write down the new things you can now see. Perhaps you will notice a change in light, a sound that was in the background, a leaf moving, a reflection, an imperfection, or a color that you hadn't noticed before. Repeat this process until you feel you have truly observed, until you realize that the place hasn't changed—it's your attention that has deepened. Being present doesn't happen simply by stopping. Presence also requires dedication: the conscious choice to return to the moment, again and again. In the end, ask yourself: What did I see the first time? What did I only notice when I looked again? What did this practice show me about my attention? And where, in my life, can I learn to look with more presence?

The Love That Already Lives Within Us
There is a kind of love within us that does not need to be earned, deserved, or explained. A love that does not depend on performance, perfection, or approval. It is a quiet, present, and natural love — unconditional love. We often recognize it easily in animals. We feel tenderness when a dog welcomes us without questions, when a cat chooses to sit beside us, or when we observe the simplicity with which they trust, play, and remain present. With animals, we do not demand that they become different in order to love them. We do not expect them to say the right words, meet our expectations, or hide their vulnerabilities. We see them as they are — and we love them that way. But between human beings, it often feels more difficult. We carry stories, fears, wounds, defenses, and expectations. We want to be understood, yet we do not always know how to listen. We long to receive love, yet sometimes we close ourselves when it appears. And often, we forget that the person in front of us is also living through their own inner struggle. Unconditional love does not mean accepting everything, staying where there is no respect, or ignoring your boundaries. Loving unconditionally can also mean saying “no,” walking away with awareness, and protecting your peace. It simply means choosing to look at another person — and at yourself — with more humanity. With more space. With less judgment. > Perhaps the love we see so easily in animals is a reminder of what already exists within us: the ability to be present, to welcome, and to love without needing to control. Let this question stay with you today: **Where can I choose more love — without abandoning my boundaries, and without abandoning myself?** Share in the comments: **what have animals taught you about love?**

Joy is also a practice 🌞
There are days when we wait to feel better before doing what makes us happy. We wait for more time, more energy, fewer worries, or for life to feel more organized. But often, the opposite is what transforms our day: **giving a few minutes to something that brings us joy, even before everything is resolved.** It might be dancing to a song, walking in the sunlight, creating something with your hands, listening to music that moves you, caring for your plants, reading a few pages, preparing a meal with presence, or simply stopping to breathe. Joy is an elevated emotion. It expands your energy, softens the way you see challenges, and opens doors to the world. When you are connected to what lights you up, you begin to notice possibilities that once felt invisible. You find more space to create, to connect, and to move forward. Joy does not need to be loud, perfect, or extraordinary. It can be small. It can be quiet. But when it is chosen with intention, it becomes a way of returning to yourself. > **Do not postpone what makes you feel alive while waiting for a lighter life. Small moments of joy may be exactly what makes life lighter.** Let this question stay with you today: **What can I do, even for just ten minutes, that would make me genuinely happy?** Share in the comments: **what is one small thing that brings you back to joy?**

New Lumen Spirituality Guide: The Power of Looking Within
Hello everyone in the community!✨️ For much of our lives, we are taught to look outward. We look outside for validation, for security, and, most dangerously, for the causes of our pain. When we blame the outside world, we cast ourselves as victims. We construct narratives where we are just passive receivers of life's events. It feels deeply satisfying in the short term because it absolves us of self-reflection. But the cost is our long-term freedom. If your unhappiness is someone else's fault, your happiness is entirely dependent on them changing. It is with great joy that I share our new ebook: "The Power of Looking Within". In this guide, we explore a profound truth: everything begins inside us. We dive into: ✨ The Trap of Blame: Why pointing fingers strips us of our power. ✨ Responsibility vs. Guilt: How to own your response without carrying the heavy burden of shame. ✨ The Courage to See Clearly: How the conflicts we experience with others are mirrors of the conflicts within ourselves. ✨ Initiating Your Own Movement: Why true, lasting change never begins in the exterior world. This is not a guide for those who want comfortable illusions. It is for those ready to step into radical responsibility and become the conscious creators of their reality.🌱 📥 Available for download in the Classroom.🤓 I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments: Where in your life have you noticed yourself waiting for the outside world to change before you do? Let's reflect together! 👇

I have been wanting my whole life to feel seen and understood. Perhaps I should be trying to see and understand myself, instead.
