🆕 Update on PublishFlow from Iceland 🏔️
We attended a software conference in Iceland last week and took that as an opportunity to record a brief update on what's been happening at PublishFlow over the past few months. + What is planned for the next weeks and month. (Something big is coming next week btw.) Feel free to leave your questions or feature suggestions here in the comments.

Can't wait for the MCP. That's what was missing for me as well, having to go back and forth.
ISBN
Hi everyone, I’ve almost finished a book using PublishFlow, and now I’m at the stage of purchasing an ISBN—the process on the Austrian platform is set up a bit differently than on the German platform. Could you please help me figure out what the best practice is? I definitely don’t want to use my real name as the publisher, except in the imprint. Can I just choose any name I want? According to the guidelines, it doesn’t seem like I can. Can I use different names for different books? How do you guys handle this? Thanks a lot, Best regards, Markus

It's mainly useful if you ever plan to sell off of Amazon on places like IngramSpark etc
Facebook ads
I noticed the new feature to add facebook ads. Asking you all who has successfully ran fb ads and not lost their shirt while making sales. This is not a spend I have added yet wanting advice and suggestions ty

@Pam Henkels Additionally, I've heard from KDP publishers making a good ROI on Meta Facebook Ads when selling direct, or pushing ads to an entire series so that the higher ads costs can net out positive ROI when someone buys the whole series at once.
Meta Ads
Hello @Andrey Bernhart ,quick question about how you run your Meta campaigns. When you launch a new campaign: 1. What campaign objective do you usually go with (Sales, Traffic, Leads, Engagement…)? 2. Do you test just one hook, or two hooks against each other? 3. Once it's live, do you actively optimize (tweaking audiences, targeting, budget), or do you let Meta's algorithm do the work and avoid touching anything after launch? Would love to understand your process. Thanks!

Hi @Andrey Bernhart. After reviewing almost all of your YT vides, I'm a bit confuse about Meta ads strategy as well. Do you use Meta ads only in the launch phase to find test readers? Or do you continue to use them throughout the book's KDP journey? Would you consider making a YT video on your Meta ads strategy?
Big Fat Loss
devastating.. put a lot of effort and money into my last book just to find out that i didnt factor in one MAJOR thing on the niche research before.. i just published a book that cost me around 400 dollars in a topic that is so heavily dominated by external traffic over tiktok that its practically impossible to rank by ads.. 2 weeks of ad campaigns without any results speak the same language.. thats a major defeat id say but well, THATS a lesson i learned the hard way good sales + low reviews + zero A+ content on a niche competitor is NOT a signal to win that thing, its a stay away signal and hinting at other factors like tiktok marketing

Why would TikTok driven sales mean your Amazon Ads can't be profitable? Sure it's probably impossible to outrank that book organically b/c of all of the TikTok outside traffic, but I'm curious how that would translate to higher Amazon Ads costs? What am I missing?
