Is anyone else feeling like August lasted approximately 147 days? Because HOLY MOLY. 😂 I love summer and absolutely hate seeing it end, but this year I may personally help August pack its bags and show it to the door. Between unexpected problems, ongoing problems, problems I thought were solved returning for an encore performance, and the general feeling that I've been tiptoeing through a field of landmines wearing flip-flops... I am still standing. And frankly, I'm counting that as Celebration #1. 🥳 Maybe eclipse season had something to do with it. Maybe the planets were throwing furniture. Maybe life was simply being life. Whatever it was, I'm ready for the calendar page to turn. 🍂✨ But here's the interesting part. In amongst all that chaos, a few things I had almost given up believing would ever change... changed. A difficult eight-year chapter in our lives is finally coming to an end with someone leaving the scene. Some unexpected additional income has opened up. And completely out of the blue, someone we've known of around our neighbourhood for years finally wandered in for a jam with my husband's rock band — and it looks as though a wonderful new musical friendship and adventure may be beginning. 🎸🎶 None of these things came with fireworks or a marching band. They're just little shifts that feel BIG because I waited so long for things to MOVE. I've written little notes in my daily journal about these unexpected happenings and of course, I have thanked the Universe out loud for each one. And that's my Magic Mama thought for today: Don't overlook the small wins just because the big problems haven't all been solved yet. Sometimes a tiny crack of light is the first sign that something really IS beginning to move. 💖 So before we send August on its merry way, I want to hear YOUR celebrations. 🥂 What moved in the right direction? ✨ What small win are you grateful for? 🌱 What finally changed that you thought might never change? 💃 Or what did you simply SURVIVE and deserve a medal for?
