I have just joined having heard Sandi speak on the SMN of which I am a member. I very much wish to have deep discussions about the life and work of MM. In a former life I was a Cather, like Sandi, and I visit the south of France often to be in that place. I am so inspired by Sandi's work and feel it speaks directly to my experience, though different. This Saturday I am giving a workshop/discussion on the energy of the Feminine as my work in body psychotherapy has brought me to understand how we experience this energy in our bodies, much deeper than and in addition to the Chakras. Hello Everyone! I am a mother, wife, literacy advocate, Qigong instructor, graphic designer, dancer, writer, and poet. I also aspire to be a follower of Christ. I grew up in an agnostic household but I always heard the voice of God in nature. As non-LDS in Utah, my siblings and I were shunned by our school, peers and community so I made the association of Christians being jerks very early. So, I studied paganism, Hinduism, Taoism and was quite happy in my previous life, but through the gateway of Mary Magdalene, I had an experience of Christ that changed my whole world. I've since went to many churches trying to recover that awe, but I still hear Him most in Nature and in the mystics who have known Him: Thomas Merton, St. Francis, Teresa of Avila, Richard Rohr, etc. I've always been kind of a weirdo who doesn't fit into categories, and I'm discovering my walk with Christ is no different. Of all the voices who have spoken about Him, John, Thomas and Mary Magdalene have spoken the loudest to me.
