Workshop: What does success look like for you?
We pick up ideas about success from family, work, and the people around us. Sometimes we keep measuring ourselves against those ideas long after our lives have changed. Tomorrow, we’re kicking off The Inner Compass with Stef with space to explore what success means to you now. We’ll look at: - Whose definition of success you may be carrying. - What you admire in others—and what that tells you about your own values. - How you want success to feel, alongside what you want to achieve. - How you’ll recognize it in your everyday life. You’ll have time to reflect, write your own definition of success for this season, and explore what that could feel like in your body. Bring a notebook and your curiosity. Sharing is optional. Wednesday, October 21 · Noon–1 p.m. Eastern What’s one word you’d love to associate with success right now?

Thankyou
Sail Away Studios
When I joined Jen’s cohort it was for the business I was starting with my husband. Because I am good at chasing squirrels I focused on Code Like A Little Old Lady. Apple turned down my dev application because Sail Away’s website was nonexistent. Last night I started working on a design. The logo is wrong, Rowan (Chargpt) was being wonky. Including the real one here. We are working on copy and building out more but I am happy with where it is going

Looks stunning!
Coolest thing (to me)
This is long and ramble-y silliness of a fangirl. Yesterday I had the coolest thing happen (at least in my mind). I have an author I adore. I've read all their books. The series have gotten me through some of my roughest times. It's sci-fi just to be clear. But it's pure escapism for me. I've wanted to build an encyclopedia of the series for awhile. Two days ago I saw the author released the prequel DRM free, so I used it to pull out all the information from the book to start that build. I wrote a post about it on Substack. I saw the author is now on Substack, but he only had one Subscriber, so I wasn't sure it was real. Turns out it was. And he emailed me! Yesterday I received 2 emails from him. I squealed like a little girl! Yesterday I shared a screenshot of my timeline. He thought it was cool but commented on a problem I know I'll have. But this is all me playing around, V0. Today I sent him a video of how the network/node diagram works for the characters. Click a character and you can see different relationships in the series that character has. You also get a block with the details about the character. I'm having great fun with this little project. It's been a nice filler, make me happy project as I head towards Thursday. https://substack.com/home/post/p-220153848 has the video if you're curious.

This is so awesome to hear about - incredibly excited for you and this project 🩷
A win is a win 💜
Something go your way this week? Share it here so we can celebrate with you. Maybe you finally hit publish, asked for what you needed, or gave yourself a break without spending the whole time feeling guilty about it. That counts too. Doesn’t have to be work related or a big announcement. If it’s a win for you, we want to hear it. Let's cheer each other on in the comments. 🥳

@Jennifer Benford I have no plan as content calendars etc really do not work for my AuAdhd mind. I am working on a memoir collection called ‘Vignettes of silence’ as I am part of a memoir writing course led by Amanda Saint - Mindful writer. I need to start wring again for NeuroNirvana but the Substack website has gone all pear shaped on me and it feels so exhausting to put that all right!

I’m not writing anything for business at the moment - the memoir Substack is purely me expressing self and creativity. I’m very excited about my Vignettes of Silence series I will be publishing - some of which will be behind paywall for privacy’s sake. I do need to restart writing and recording for Neuro Nirvana business again - I have PDA type AuADHD so have to really be into it to do stuff - lost my mojo of late with it as feel cannot commit to doing much due to chronic illness - BUT I aim to leave work in new year so will be able to manage my energy and health - cannot wait to be fully self employed again!
We meet tomorrow! 💜

Shame I couldn’t join you yesterday. I have to manage my energy and had a work training day which completely wiped me out! I am looking forwards to being self employed again, delivering training online and creating so much content for my business NeuroNirvana! Being part of this group has come at exactly the right time.
