First Saturday Share
We have some amazingly talented and creative folks in this community. On the first Saturday of each month, I invite you to share your business. This could be a Skool community, an Etsy shop, a book you’ve written, an app you built, etc. Here are the rules: 1. You can only post in the comments of this thread, this makes it easy for members to find you. 2. If you do share, don’t just drop a link and ghost. Tell us a little about your product or service. Ideally, it’s family friendly. 3. Reply to one or two posts that genuinely interest you. While you may be here for ideas, getting to know folks is also a benefit. 4. Have fun.

As a tarot card reader with several years of experience, I welcome questions about any topic under the sun. If you're in a dilemma and would like to find out what the cards say, I'm happy to provide you with a Celtic spread (or another configuration). Perhaps you're wondering if it's time to switch to home schooling? Maybe you're thinking of returning to the workforce now that your kids are older? The cards are all archetypes that can be read in many ways. So having an intuitive reader rather than someone who "goes by the book" can be a help. Contact me at The Inner Mystic, my free community.
Having fun cooking together
My presentation on Saturday, the last day of the Summit, was somewhat like brainstorming for ideas of what could make for fun when cooking with kids. After getting the news of Dolly's passing, I was in my kitchen fishing for more ideas. And I want to add to the list the following: After the kids have torn the lettuce into the salad bowl and added, say, tomatoes, peppers and mushrooms, you can see it they'd like to dump the whole thing into the pot of rice (if there's room in the pot). Then you can serve the two dishes combined. I can just see Dolly saying, "Yes" to that and picking up the bowl and dumping it in.
The Summit Draws to a Close- Now What?
Today is our last day of the summit and I’m excited to see what @Elliott Robertson has in store. Come join us at 1:30 Central time to discover ways to incorporate more veggies and more fun into your life. Next week, classrooms remain open and all live and pre-recorded sessions are there for you to watch and experience at your own pass. Perhaps, choose one theme or topic of interest and experience those sessions. Sessions range from 15 min to an hour and many of our speakers have also provided free gifts for you. No time to watch the sessions you missed? Grab an All-Access pass for $16 (I decided, I’m not raising the price) and receive a bundle with all resources and recordings. Go to Classroom > All-Access Pass. You’ll receive access to your bundle no later than Sept 5. Next week, we’re back in our regular routine with a new lab launching and a little summit surprise. How are you going to connect through play today?

We will spend our time together focused on turning the kitchen into a space for fun, playful evenings cooking together. My background includes coaching people on the journey toward emphasizing veggies in their diets (and/or becoming vegetarian), but today it will be all about playing with the kids.
What’s Ahead Day 6 and Day 7
What a fun day we had talking about play and books. All live sessions can be found in the classroom. We have 3 live sessions remaining this week and I encourage you to pop in to 1, 2, or 3. Starting off at 10 am CST Tomorrow is the extremely talented @Joanne Langston she will be guiding you through bringing your story to life. Then at 3 pm CST @Paula Artis will be showing you and your kids how to use AI to bring your kids story to life. Both of these sessions are interactive so bring your paper, pencil, and creativity. On Saturday at 1:30 pm CST @Elliott Robertson helps is close out the summit the way we began, in the kitchen. If you were ever stuck for an idea on how to get your kids playing with their food, in the most positive way possible, this one’s for you.

@Dan Mowinski If my understanding is correct, as a member of this community you are able to see replays until the end of August.

I look forward to meeting you and look forward to the Q&A at the end.
Getting everything on your calendar
The calendar in this community has all the Summit's events on it. And, maybe you'll want to go through the event descriptions in the Classroom and put some of the events on your calendar. "Playing in the Kitchen" (Saturday) will be a chance to ignite a new routine. It's not a course/class. Playing with food is all about imagination If you look at this photo, you'll see cucumbers on an orange plate. Maybe this photo will inspire you to ask one or two of your kids to make a cucumber salad for dinner and to suggest cutting the cucumbers in triangles. (If you start with a moon and cut it in half, it is easy to cut a half moon into triangles.) Continue with the imagination if you want. "I wonder if it would be fun and tasty to mix this cucumber and tomato salad with the rice this evening."

@Mary Nunaley It may be an adjustment for some. But a happy adjustment. When a youngster is cutting one slice of cucumber at a time (rather than a stack) it may take longer. Playdates don't have to be in the "20 Meals in 30 minutes or less category." We can all luxuriate without rushing.
