The Flow Collective is transforming!
Hello everyone! As you may have noticed, the transformation for The Embodied Woman Summit has already begun! Our About page and banner have been updated, and if you take a peek at November's calendar, you'll see that all of our summit sessions have already been scheduled! Go have a look! 👀 There is even an option to schedule the call in your calendar so if there is a session or two or three, set a reminder now. Our Classroom will also be going through a little transformation. During the summit, all current courses will be temporarily closed so we can keep everything organized and make it easy for attendees to navigate. There will be three dedicated summit courses available in the Classroom, and as members of The Flow Collective, you'll get early access to explore them once they're ready! 🙂 You'll also notice some new summit welcome posts pinned to the top of our community to help everyone find their way. Now, don't worry! The Flow Collective isn't going anywhere! 💜 Once the summit comes to a close, our courses will reopen and our community will continue to flow. However, there will be some exciting changes, new offerings, and opportunities for connection coming your way! The summit is just one part of the beautiful evolution of this space, and I'm excited for what's ahead. For now, continue to enjoy the community, explore, connect, and make yourself at home. There's so much more to come! 💜

🩸 Do you crave sweets and chocolate right before and during your bleed? 🍫
During the luteal phase — the phase after ovulation and before your bleed — your body can become more insulin resistant, meaning it becomes less sensitive to insulin. Insulin is the hormone that helps move glucose (sugar) from your bloodstream into your cells to be used for energy. When your body becomes less sensitive to insulin, it isn't using glucose quite as efficiently — and amongst other things happening hormonally during this phase, this may play a role in why you find yourself reaching for more sugar and carbohydrates. So those premenstrual cravings aren't necessarily just you wanting chocolate... Your metabolism is actually shifting throughout your menstrual cycle. Another reason why understanding what's happening in each phase of our cycle is so important. 💜

3 Interesting Facts About Female Genitalia
1. The clitoris has more than 10,000 nerve fibres. Yes... that's why it feels so good. 😉 2. The vulva and vagina are NOT interchangeable. The vulva is the external genitalia. The vagina is internal. (Have a look at last week's post for more on this!) 3. There is no such thing as a “normal-looking” vulva. Vulvas come in different shapes, sizes, colours and appearances. She is as unique as the woman she belongs to is. Love her. 💜

@Nora Gianna there are many due to lack of education.
Boys have a penis and girls have a vagina
Common knowledge, right? Well… what if I told you that statement isn't actually anatomically correct? Yes, boys have a penis, and yes, girls have a vagina — but the part of the female genitals that we can actually see and often refer to as “the vagina” is the vulva. The vagina is internal. The vulva is the external genital area and includes the labia, clitoris, vaginal opening and more. It's pretty frustrating when you think about how many of us grew up without ever being taught the proper names for our own anatomy. And personally, I love the word vulva. I actually think it's quite beautiful. 💜 Have a look at this reel from Annie Wolf, founder of Girls Club Global, as she asks a group of young girls: “What do you think the vagina is?” This is a reminder of why body literacy matters — and why teaching girls the correct language for their bodies matters too. https://www.instagram.com/reel/Db_zAUmREeB/?stkn=MXB2cTh4aWN3Zm56

Boys have a penis and girls have a vagina
Hello everyone! A little update!
I know things have been a little scattered in here lately, and I know a few months ago I posted something similar. But in all honesty... I was moving slow this summer. I wasn't rushing or forcing anything. I was just moving slowly, letting things flow naturally and allowing things to unfold as they were meant to. However, my slowness was actually extremely productive, and I have been quietly creating a lot in the background. First things first — we will be getting back to our regular weekly schedule next week. 💜 But I also wanted to give you a little heads-up because over the next few months, you're going to start seeing a transformation happening here inside The Flow Collective. And there's a pretty big reason why... ✨ The Flow Collective is going to be hosting The Embodied Woman Summit! ✨ And of course, you are all invited. I am SO excited about this. Maybe a little overwhelmed 😂 and there are definitely moments when I question my decision to create and host an entire summit... but mostly, I am incredibly excited about what is coming together. I'm not going to share too much just yet. But over the next couple of months, you're going to start noticing things happening around here. New additions to the calendar. New things appearing in the classroom. New members joining us. Even our banner is going to get a little transformation. Things may look a little different around here for a while as everything starts coming together, and as it all unfolds, I'll be sharing updates and letting you know what's happening. There is a LOT happening behind the scenes... And I'm really excited to finally start bringing you along for it. 💜
