Throughout the entire competition, we're rewarding 4 builders every week with $25 USDC each for the value they bring to our community. That's $400 USDC in rewards for builders who go beyond working on their own Mini Apps and help others succeed too. Here's what counts: 💬 Helping on Skool: Answer questions, share useful feedback, and help other builders work through problems. 🧪 Testing Mini Apps: Keep an eye out for a new Skool channel dedicated to testing Mini Apps and helping builders improve. 🎙️ Showing up to Sip & Ship: Attend our weekly community calls, demo your Mini App, and participate in discussions. 🤝 Being an active community member: Contribute to meaningful conversations here and engage with @Nimiq and @miniappscomp on X. ℹ️ Quality and helpfulness matter most. We're not rewarding spam, generic comments, or engagement for the sake of engagement. We want to recognize the builders who genuinely help others test, improve, and ship their Mini Apps. Keep building, and don't forget to help the people building alongside you! 💪

Cycle 2 is officially wrapped, and we’re excited to announce the builders taking home a share of the $17,000 USDC prize pool. The Community Council decided to split 2nd place between two builders this cycle: 🥇 Knock by @Kaichao Sun: $7,000 An encrypted chat built on Nimiq where users can set a connection cost for strangers while keeping conversations private. Knock also supports sending and receiving NIM directly in chats, tipping other community members, and joining public group conversations. 🥈 Blacktop by @Jesse Lukose: $4,000 A privacy-first ride companion built for real riders and real rides, whether you’re riding solo or with a crew. Blacktop combines ride tracking with Pay Up, its built-in wallet, plus Blacktank, a shared crew fuel pot that only pays out with a unanimous vote, and instant QR tips in NIM or USDT. 🥈 NIMIQ.kids by @Andjroo Me: $4,000 A family Mini App that turns chores into real NIM. Parents set rewards, kids complete jobs, and approved rewards are sent directly to an account the child owns. Kids can then spend it on screen time and treats, keeping the whole flow within the family. 🥉 PROOF by @Christopher Okunade: $2,000 A learning platform that combines AI-powered skill paths, real-world challenges, and verified proofs to help users demonstrate what they can actually do. The goal is to turn learning into something you can prove, showcase, and use to unlock new opportunities. Big thanks to the Community Council for reviewing every submission and selecting this cycle’s winners. And of course, thank you to everyone who built and shipped a Mini App this cycle. You made Cycle 2 one to remember, and we’re excited to see where you take things next. Want to dive deeper into the winning submissions? 142 Mini Apps are under review and the wait is almost over. While the Community Council works through your submissions, we want to know how you spent the weekend. Were you making some last improvements to your Cycle 2 submission, planning what you want to build for Cycle 3, or taking some time away from the screen entirely? Let us know in the comments, and stay close for the next announcement.

In case you missed it, your app can now open in full-screen! Nimiq Space now can play nicely in landscape full screen, this means all games on Nimiq Pay just got full screen support (update your apps to go full screen on open). Updating this into Cinima as we speak!

Hi Nimiq Community! 👋 I just published NIMIQ MyIndex, a Web3 Mini App designed to track real-world purchasing power and local product prices directly on the Nimiq Layer 1 blockchain. What it does: - Converts crypto to real-world products and currencies in real-time. - Anchors compact price records (under 64 bytes) into Nimiq transaction messages, including USDT & BTC Satoshi parities. - Visualizes market trends through dynamic interactive charts, acting as a decentralized community oracle. Live Demo: https://fabioalarte.github.io/nimiq-myindex/ GitHub Repo: https://github.com/fabioalarte/nimiq-myindex Try registering a product price from your country to test the dynamic charts! I would love to hear your feedback. 🚀
