Welcome to The Nail Tech Corner! (Start here)
Hi everyone! 💅 Welcome to The Nail Tech Corner: a community created for nail techs to learn, share, ask questions, support each other and grow together. Whether you're brand new or have been doing nails for years, you belong here. We're building a global space where nail techs can connect, share knowledge and have access to education and resources without having to figure everything out alone. And genuinely… thank you for being here. 🥹 You are part of building this with us, and the more people participate, the better this community becomes for everyone. 💡 HOW TO GET THE MOST OUT OF TNTC Don't just lurk. 👀 TNTC works best when you participate. Ask questions. Answer someone else's. Share your work. Join a live. Comment on posts. Share something you've learned. Celebrate your wins. And there's a bonus: when you help us grow the community, you can earn from it too. 💰 Our contributor/referral system rewards members who bring new people into TNTC - so you can help grow the community and get paid for the value you're helping create. 👋 FIRST THINGS FIRST Please visit the START HERE course in the Classroom section. It'll show you how everything works and where to find things. Then, drop an intro below 👇 1. Your name + where you're based 2. How long you've been doing nails 3. One nail skill you'd love to master this year 4. Your social media handle - not the link (so we can support you there too!) We can't wait to get to know you and build something bloody brilliant with you. 💅💛

@Arshakia Walker nice to meet you Keke! It’s similar in durability to acrylic but it’s more flexible and causes less damage to the natural nail. I don’t know a whole lot about it just yet, but I really enjoy doing the service. I saw a tutorial on here so I’m going to check that out for pointers.

Beginner's Bootcamp!
Hey everyone! I've made the final decision to go ahead with dedicating the entire month of November to a Beginner's Bootcamp! 🥳 Two live calls a day, every weekday, so wherever you are in the world, there's a time that hopefully works for you. Plus I'll be in here every single day cheering you on, answering questions, and looking at your practice pics. It's four weeks, fully mapped out, taking you from "I have no idea what I'm doing" to actually being confident. 👇 🗓️ Week 1 - Foundation & theory (nail health, product safety, the stuff nobody explains properly) 🗓️ Week 2 - Prep (because good prep is invisible and bad prep is impossible to hide) 🗓️ Week 3 - Application (gel, builder gel, acrylic basics - real hands-on skill) 🗓️ Week 4 - Business basics (because "I can do nails" and "I can run a business" are two very different things) No nail art in this one, you've already got plenty of that in here. This month is 100% about the foundations everyone skips and then wonders why things go wrong later. I've attached the full curriculum below so you can see exactly what each day covers before we kick off. Have a read, get excited, and drop a 🙋 in the comments if November is your month. I want to know who's in before we even start. 💛

I’m absolutely going to join this! I feel like I wasn’t taught a lot of the basics. I learned some in Cosmo school back in 2012 but I didn’t get as much training when I started doing nails in 2019. I love learning and educating myself so I’m excited!
PPE Reminder 🥽
Don't forget to wear eye protection/face shields when working regularly on clients 🙏 I went to the optometrist this week and they confirmed that I have scratched the surface of my eyeball from repeated exposure to nail dust 👀 No good. Don't be like me.

Oh no, that’s awful! I have to take off my regular glasses and put on non prescription glasses because I cannot see up close with my every day glasses. These old eyes of mine 😝

Hiii! I’ve been a nail tech for 6 years, with my license in cosmetology since 2012. I love nail art and am excited to learn more from this community!
