What's a bad, good, and great response rate?
What would be an low, average, and very good response rate for a DBR for an attorney trying to revive old consults less than 1 year old that did not turn into clients? How would that compare that to a local service business sending a DBR to past customers? to unsold estimates less than 1 year old?

Mark, when you compare the response rates, are you also tracking how many replies turn into a useful conversation? I’m curious what you count as a response before comparing such different customer histories.

@Sarah W Hi Sarah, what were you most hoping to learn from the event? I’m interested in the practical ideas people can take back into their own business rather than just add to the notes folder.
My first paid client!!!
I’m so excited about my first paid client. I have another client this week with another client. I’m still learning but building this business is fun and exciting.

Mary, congratulations! That first person trusting you with their business is a big deal. What problem did they hire you to solve, and how did the conversation start? Somebody still trying to get their first client could learn a lot from that part.

@Mary Lincoln Thanks for sharing how it started, Mary. A coffee conversation about problems he already had is useful detail for those of us learning the sales side. Congratulations on earning the ongoing work. What has been the most useful part for him so far?
How I became a GHL certified admin + tips for anyone preparing for the exam
I took the exam last Friday and passed on my first attempt. I thought I'd share a bit about my journey and a few things that helped me prepare. I've been working around GHL for about a year, but I only started doing hands-on implementation work for clients about 3 months ago. During that time, I took courses, set up GHL for my own business, and helped 3 clients build and improve their systems. Honestly, I found the build tasks in the exam easier than some of the challenges I've faced in real client projects. 😅 The biggest challenge was the time limit. You only get 60 minutes, so you need to work quickly and know your way around the platform. I finished my build in 36 minutes, which gave me enough time to test everything before submitting. A few tips for those preparing for the GoHighLevel certified admin exam: 1. Don't just watch the videos. Follow along with the lessons and practice everything yourself in a sub-account. You'll learn much faster by doing. 2. Get comfortable with the platform. Spend time exploring GHL and learning where different settings and features are. Knowing where to find things can save you valuable time during the exam. 3. Build workflows manually. Avoid relying on AI to build workflows while you're learning. Create them step by step so you understand how triggers, actions, and conditions work together. 4. Practice with a timer. Try completing similar build tasks in 40 to 45 minutes. This helps you get comfortable working under pressure and leaves you some time to test everything. 5. Connect with people who have passed. Join community calls, ask questions, and learn from others who have already taken the exam. Hearing about their experiences can help you feel more prepared. If you're preparing for the exam, feel free to drop your questions below. I'll do my best to help based on my experience. 😊

Farhad, congratulations on passing first time. Leaving yourself time to test after the build is the detail I’m taking from your post. Which kind of practice task helped you learn the most before the exam? I’m learning automation and want to understand the steps myself rather than just watch them happen.

That example helps, Farhad. Following the lead from the website through the follow-up and notification makes the pieces easier to understand as one job. I can see why building for a real business gave you useful practice. Thanks for making the exam task concrete.
First outreach gone wrong?
I positioned my offer as a i am a beginner but full of energy vibes and i got lot of responses but as time went on i realised the ones that i selected didnt followup at all, didnt give me really anything to work with, just empty promises for weeks, how would i filter these people? I wanted to start with a strong beggining but i feel its a hit or miss that i trust them or not..

Török, did you get a chance to try the small, specific next step people suggested here? I’m learning sales and would be interested in whether it changed who followed through. A friendly reply and an agreed action seem like two different things to watch.
