Lately these Linqin watches have been popping up on Amazon when I open it. I was curious as to what one could buy for the offered price $9.99, so I bought a couple of them. They normally list at $29.99. What little I could find out about them is that it is a Chinese company, started around 2019 and Amazon heavily promotes them. Most of the reviews are favorable and from Amazon. I have worn them daily for the last several days and as a time piece they do their job. They are light on the wrist; the band is functional and comfortable, nothing special. The design is of a field watch. Setting them is interesting. It uses a two-position stem, first pull sets the time, and the second pull sets the date by turning it counterclockwise. I haven't checked the luminous ability yet, but the hands and numerals are coated, the seconds sweep hand in not. There is an audible click as it moves around the dial sort of nostalgic really. Some details: stainless steel case at 42 mm, band is 22 mm. Water resistance is stated at 30 m. The date window is at 3 and readable without magnification. Movement is a nondescript Japanese quartz. Numerals are listed in two rows 1-12 larger inner row is 13-24 in roman style. The crown is marked as crystal. Cons: First setting the time. The movement of the stem is not tight, and the hour hand will move as you push in the stem, annoying but it can be done. It is big on the wrist so as a gift for a person with a small wrist I don't think it would work. The nylon band could be better however closure is a buckle style, functional and the band can be replaced. Of course, the WR could be better, however for this price it's adequate. Pros: The cases have a smooth finish, and the dial is easily readable. The look wearing them isn't that bad nothing fancy here. Price difficult to beat. There are multiple color options to choose from. Overall, not a bad item for daily wear around the house, running errands or an inexpensive gift considering the price.

Again an in-house anti-shock balance (Vostok 2414A) movement, a 40 mm titanium coated brass or steel case, 20 m WR, date window at 3, bi-directional bezel, luminous markers that are o.k. and a 36 hour power reserve that again is closer to 30 hours actual use. Average cost around $85 US. The strap is a Russian version of the NATO style.
