Strat -vs- Les Paul
I've been playing guitar for 50+ years and have always played Strat style guitars. Today's weapon of choice is a 2005 American Deluxe Strat. I typically play blues, rock, funk, Floyd, etc style music. It's hard to believe that I never have had a Les Paul in my hands. Should I bother? 🤔

I play Strats, Les Pauls, and… well, too many to count 😆 For me, the scale length and neck angle make a Les Paul easier to play. If you get a Les Paul with coil splitting on the humbuckers, you can get some nice single coil sounds in addition to the traditional, thick humbucker tone.
Which do you prefer and why
So who prefers a floyd over a hard tail like myself and why?

In terms of tuning stability, both a Floyd and a hard tail are preferable to most of the other whammy bar systems. At least, that’s been my experience 🙂
My wishlist
Planning on paying off my Sweetwater account this month and putting in an order for these weapons of mass destruction..added a case for the Arrow..what you all think? 🤘🤘

This project with my son will hopefully make memories that will last far longer than I will. Such a great experience. I am so proud of my boy!

I switched from Clayton .80 mm teardrops to Dunlop John Petrucci Jazz 3 picks with a Big Deer Guitar Pick Grip on the thumb side. That lets me go between acoustic and electric guitars without having to switch picks.
