Mock ups
The classroom video says to make mock-ups by making them. Can I not just use AI to make the mock ups? Any issue with this?

I posted this a while back. https://www.skool.com/printshrimp/mockups-with-mj-and-affinity-studio-by-canva-free?p=620ed276 I spent way too long but now have 8 rooms for portrait posters. All managed with Affinity Studio and in one or two clicks export 26 separate JPG files for custom video productions and uploads to Etsy.
Social platforms
So where do you all post your prints/posters? Which social platforms do you use/ use the most?

All of them, though Pinterest is lacking due to them slacking on my App approval. So at the moment it is linked to Instagram. Meta API access is cumbersome to set up but at least it works. TikTok similar pain with App approval but you can auto upload videos and just tag them later at least. Claude manages everything else.

I get more views for my videos on TikTok than any other platform at the moment.
Bulk Listing edits and tag questions
Hi all, very new here so please excuse the noob'ness! i have about 100 listing right now and only just got round to making a simple video for my listings. I have two questions: - can i use the bulk listing tool to mass edit the listings without the video or would i have to delist them all and re-generate? - also, seen someone mention about just buying a video mockup template from Etsy. If i upload this to the listing in the bulk listing tool, will it fill it in with each poster for each listing like it does for the general mockups? or do i need to canva/photoshop each one some how? Quick side question - once the listing is generated i can't seem to review it and add/remove the pre populated tags. I can remove tags and type a new one out, only it doesn't add this when pressing enter, is this intentional, is there a way around this (maybe before generating?) Thanks in advance, much appreciated.

@Charlie Moore it should be possible to edit any listing in Etsy tags or anything…. If you are relying on the bulk upload tool to also be a bulk editor tool then right now I don’t think it is (I maybe wrong). Tom mentions the Etsy video tool in one of the tutorials. If you have a some experience of coding or know someone who does (vibe or otherwise) then it is all totally doable you just need to build your own API connection to Etsy for your store (which requires a Dev account and API key all free). I regularly bulk update my listings tags descriptions or images/videos..

No Niche?
My store is now 10 days old and I feel like i’m uploading ALL types of prints with no specific niche. Is this an issue for being more visible in search results, or is it good to try all on one store and see what sticks at the start and then focus on that?

If you’re competing in a crowded niche with 10 relevant posters against a shop with 100, the larger shop has a major advantage in search coverage: more listings means more opportunities to match different queries, long-tail terms and shopper intent. But Etsy doesn’t simply rank the shop with more products higher. Relevance, engagement/conversion, listing quality, customer service and other signals matter too. I’d also be careful with the idea that Etsy rewards a shop for sticking to one niche. A focused niche can make your branding and catalogue more coherent, but Etsy ranks listings, not simply “niche authority” in the way Google might treat topical relevance. So I’d think of it as: build enough relevant inventory to give yourself search coverage, then build sales, reviews and engagement to establish credibility. Quantity gets you more opportunities; quality and performance determine what you do with them. And Google matters too. Good titles, descriptions and genuinely useful content can help with Google visibility and AI-generated results, but I wouldn’t treat AEO as a completely separate optimisation game. Ultimately, make what you enjoy just understand that Etsy is still a search engine. Great artwork nobody discovers isn’t much use commercially.
