We finish with your portfolio live on the internet at your own URL — one you can send to a client, drop on a resume, or text to the person who said you'd never learn this. Not a demo. Not a walkthrough you follow at home. You'll be building it with me, live, and you'll leave with the link. What you'll actually do: - Command the terminal — the five commands that matter, nothing you don't need - Set up Git and GitHub and push your first code to the internet - Use AI as your lead engineer, not a search bar — the exact prompt formula that separates real output from garbage - Deploy it live with GitHub Pages Who this is for: People who have never written a line of code. If you've never opened a terminal in your life, you're not behind — you're the target audience. I'm teaching this like you know nothing, because most of you don't yet. That's the point. DO THIS TONIGHT — 10 minutes. This one is not optional. 1. Create a GitHub account at github.com (pick a username you'd put on a resume) 2. Install VS Code from code.visualstudio.com and open it once 3. Mac: open Terminal, paste xcode-select --install, hit Enter, click Install We only have 60 minutes. Every minute someone spends installing is a minute we're not building. Do the prep, and you ship. Skip it, and you watch. This is Part 1. What you build tomorrow has three empty project slots on it. FE 102 is kicking my you know what 😩 I was late turning in an assignment for the first time since starting and it’s really frustrating but I know I can do better

Is there anyone out there who is like me and is just stepping into this field for the every first time, and is perhaps a little older than your average college student? I keep reading all these posts about projects and side stuff that people are working on and, I have to admit... I don't know what any of it is... But I want to! I have your basic knowledge, but, I want to know more! I want to learn! Are there any students with much more experience working on a side project outside of school that could let me join in on? Maybe just to be a silent observer? I just want to peek into the world I'm trying to jump into and expose myself to as many things as I can 😁

We need to level this up. Yesterday I went live to test out our study sessions, and one major issue came up — nobody is getting notified when the live session starts. That completely defeats the purpose of us coming together to grow, stay accountable, and actually understand this material at a higher level. So here’s what we’re going to do… We need better ideas. Better structure. Better execution. This isn’t just about “going live” — it’s about creating sessions that actually help us win. I want everyone, especially my April 6 cohort (since we’re learning the same material), to start dropping ideas:• What would make these sessions more valuable?• What format would keep you engaged?• Do we want breakdown sessions, Q&A, accountability check-ins, or all of the above? On top of that, we’re going to test a stronger solution: Instead of relying on Skool notifications, let’s try using Google Meet with our student emails so everyone actually gets alerts and can join easily.
