I feel most connected when I stop caring so much about the outside noise and take a moment to feel the vibrations and energy around because it's always there. I just unfortunately got good at putting up the blinders. So when I stop worrying about everyone else's world I can get more in tune with my own.
This really resonates, especially the idea that silence keeps the peace. I’m learning that keeping others comfortable at the expense of myself isn’t actually peace, it’s avoidance. I’m working on honoring my own needs without feeling guilty for having them.
It would be my jaw, neck, and shoulders. I spend A LOT of energy maintaining composure and functioning. When I am hurt, I force myself to be analytical instead of falling apart. I brace myself hard and say, holding yourself together & handle it.
