I probably used Buildy a little differently during the four-day Buildathon. I hammered on it until we landed somewhere I was genuinely happy with. I started with a dormant golf domain I already owned and an idea: golf-trip planning has become a lot of choices, and maybe it could be simpler. What came out of the Buildathon is BreakMyPar, a live golf-travel discovery business built around a 9-question Golf Trip Finder. Instead of dumping more destinations on golfers, it learns how someone actually likes to play and travel, then narrows that into a trip style and curated destination recommendations. I used Buildy for the working site, personalized quiz results, lead capture and CRM segmentation, six destination guides, custom domain, branded business email and inbox, and SEO. I tested the whole system on desktop and mobile and published it at breakmypar.com. But the part that mattered most to me was getting past building. Once it was live, I used the new BreakMyPar email to send my first real partnership inquiry to a golf-travel company. So this one didn't end as a Buildathon project. It's now a real experiment in validation. I threw together a short video showing the ride from building it to getting it live. BreakMyPar — Find the golf trip that fits. Thanks to Bill and the Buildy team for the four days and for giving me an excuse to push this idea further than I probably would have on my own.
