I'm 46 today 🎂 (and I've been coaching for 30 years)
Today is my birthday. 46 years old. 🎂 Which also means I've now been coaching people for 30 years. Yep… I started when I was 16. (I'll let you decide whether that makes me experienced or just slightly mad 😂) But after three decades of coaching, there's one thing I've learned... The coaches who create the biggest transformations aren't necessarily the ones who know the most. They're the ones who know how to get underneath the problem somebody THINKS they have… And find what's really keeping them stuck. Because I've coached people through just about everything over the years. Relationships. Money. Confidence. Business. Procrastination. Fear. Self-sabotage. Trauma and past patterns. The problems might look completely different… But the process of creating a breakthrough is remarkably similar. And that's exactly what I'm teaching LIVE a week from today on Monday 21st September: How To Do A Breakthrough Coaching Session So You Can Charge Between $1,500-$10,000 By Transforming Your Client Regardless Of Their Problem… I'll show you how I structure a breakthrough session. How I uncover what's REALLY going on. How I identify the pattern underneath the problem. And how I coach somebody towards the breakthrough they've been unable to create by themselves. After 30 years, I've made plenty of mistakes and learned a LOT about what actually creates transformation. So, seeing as it's my birthday… I thought I'd share some of it with you. 🎁 👉 REGISTER FOR MONDAY'S LIVE BREAKTHROUGH SESSION HERE See you there. And now I'm off to contemplate how on earth I became 46. 😂 Ed

Happy Birthday 🥳🎂 @Ed JC Smith ! Many blessings❤️
Decisions Decisions
The uncomfortable truth is that a lot of important decisions don’t become clearer with time alone. Waiting often feels productive because it postpones the risk of making the wrong choice. But sometimes the only thing that changes is that more time passes. There are decisions where waiting is wise, if you’re missing crucial information or acting while overwhelmed. But many life decisions don’t come with certainty. Starting a business, ending a relationship, moving cities, applying for a role, creating something meaningful, but you rarely reach a point where you feel 100% ready. A useful question isn’t: “When will I feel ready?” It’s: “What information am I realistically waiting for that I don’t already have?” If you can’t name it, you may not be waiting for better circumstances. You may be waiting for the fear to disappear. Fear often doesn’t disappear first. It shrinks after you’ve acted. So perhaps the question becomes: If nothing about your circumstances changed over the next six months, would you still wish you’d acted today? If the answer is yes, then this moment may be enough, not because it’s perfect, but because perfection was never the requirement.

@ Fear doesn’t disappear it may shirk by taking action. Well said.💜
The need for acceptance
The need to be accepted often stops us from being our true selves. Fearing we’ll seem unintelligent or incapable, we try to impress others with our words, knowledge, or achievements instead of being authentic. This fear can also make us stay quiet, avoid asking questions, or shy away from situations where we might not succeed. We end up hiding who we are behind a version of ourselves we think others will admire. The best way to overcome this is to choose authenticity. Speak honestly, ask questions and accept that you won’t always have the right answers. Most people value sincerity far more than perfection and being yourself earns genuine respect.

Certainly true. I believe what you see sometimes is not what you get and everything becomes easier when we are truthful to ourselves.
Happiness
True joy and happiness come from embracing imperfection, staying playful and allowing life to unfold spontaneously. They come from giving yourself permission to make mistakes, to stumble now and then and to recognise that creativity often grows from those very moments of imperfection.

Well said! Those stumbles is where we grow most💜
Your Purpose
I recently spoke to a friend who said she wanted to give up her charity after just one year of operating. She blamed it on running a charity to be very challenging. I didn’t judge her, because life can be hard and sometimes passion gets buried under pressure, stress and exhaustion. But it made me think… If something is truly connected to you, does it ever completely disappear? I think real passion may go quiet for a while, but deep down it still exists beneath the surface. Sometimes we mistake burnout for lack of purpose.Sometimes we give up too early because the journey became harder than we expected. The real question is:Have you genuinely outgrown the vision… or are you just tired right now?

I believe there is no straight line in life, even when following our passion or purpose — there will always be ups and downs regardless. That reminds me that when I was running my salon business, I felt really tired and lacked the motivation to continue doing my work to the best of my ability. To be honest, at the time I thought I had lost interest in what I do best. I took time to recharge myself, and then I realised that my passion was still there — I was just burned out. I think sometimes we have to take different approaches, but not necessarily give up in what we believe is our passion or purpose.💜

@George Williams I couldn’t agree more. I truly believe every stage of our lives we supposed to learn something no matter if it’s good or bad.
