Notes from this morning @ Vous Church 💗 https://www.youtube.com/live/d2ZJ8sYRhGk?is=pgX_v9ucRKsgbbP7 That Settles It **Romans 10:8-10** If you declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart you will be saved. It's with your heart that you believe and are made right with God, and with your mouth that you confess and are saved. **Theme: Confession** The connotation added to confession is not always biblical. Immediately you think guilt, shame, secrets, sin. But it's deeper, it's not a religious routine. It is a banner and theme of the entire scripture. Homologeo = "same speak," to come into agreement, to say that which has already been said. What if confession is not informing God but rather just agreeing with what He has already said? You're not confessing because He already knows, you're telling Him that you agree with Him. Copy cat? How about copy God. **Ephesians 5:1** So imitate God in everything you do, because you are His dearly loved children. Copy God, say what He says, love like He loves, forgive like He forgives. Wanna be like Him. Childlike faith!!! Stop arguing with God, start agreeing with Him!!! - If He says you're forgiven, agree with Him. - Blessed and favored, agree. - No weapon against you shall prosper, agree. You will never agree with God if you don't trust God. We can agree with philosophers and psychologists and public speakers, but we have trust issues when it comes to God. You go on a flight and you know the next stop is NYC, what will you do? Question the pilot? No, you go to sleep and trust that's where you're going. God never lies, yet we have trouble believing His word for us. If God said it, that settles it. You don't get breakthrough without agreement. All throughout scripture, God is trying to keep the conversation going. He's looking for a people that will agree with Him. You are as sick as your secrets. Confession is a theme all throughout the Bible.
