What was the FDA’s side of the argument? You probably won’t hear me call the FDA a champion of peptide access very often. But facts are facts: in the retatrutide dispute, it was Eli Lilly asking for the broader “biologic” classification—and the FDA said no. Here’s the argument in plain English: The FDA’s rule says a protein must contain more than 40 alpha amino acids. Retatrutide has: - 39 alpha amino acids in its main chain - One additional alpha amino acid in its side chain - One side-chain component that is not an alpha amino acid That gives the FDA a count of 40—not more than 40. Lilly counted all 41 components and argued that retatrutide should therefore be treated as a protein and regulated as a biologic. The FDA’s response was essentially: You cannot count a non-alpha component as an alpha amino acid simply to cross the line. Why was the FDA so firm? The agency said the 40-amino-acid cutoff was created as a bright line. A molecule either crosses that line or it doesn’t. If manufacturers could count attached spacers and other side-chain pieces—or argue that a molecule merely behaves like a protein—the FDA believed every classification would turn into a case-by-case negotiation. The FDA also rejected Lilly’s backup argument that retatrutide should be considered “analogous to a protein.” According to the agency, that would allow companies to work around the very definition the rule was designed to establish. What does this mean for our community? Let’s be clear: the FDA was not making a speech about protecting peptide freedom. Its argument was about applying its rule consistently. But the result still matters. Lilly wanted retatrutide moved into the biologics framework. The FDA refused to stretch its definition to get it there. That classification can affect the approval pathway, follow-on competition and the future options available to compounders. It does not mean retatrutide is FDA-approved or legally available for compounding today. It means the FDA classified it as a drug rather than a biologic.

I'm wondering if it's worth bothering to add tretinoin to my skincare routine? My skin is feeling and looking pretty fabulous thanks to having GHK-cu, KPV, and Gluta in my daily stack. I also have a great line up of topicals in my morning and evening skincare routines and even started using a good red light mask most nights. Still, I'm interested in allllll the aging-grafefully benefits out there (I prefer that term over anti-aging), and I'm wondering if tretinoin would be a good addition. Does anyone use tret along with their research stack?

Does anyone of a protocol for aicar 100mg….. there is not much info on suggested doses or anything like that….. so came here to see if anyone here was researching it and could tell me what protocol they use…. Thanks so much!

I’m currently using Glow. I mixed my vial with 3 mL of water and have been taking 1 unit (1 mg) per injection. Since starting Monday, I’ve noticed that the injections can be pretty painful afterward and sometimes leave a welt or bruise. I’ve tried my thighs, lower stomach, and upper outer buttocks, and the discomfort can sometimes last for an entire day. Has anyone else experienced this with Glow, or does anyone have any advice on what might help reduce the pain, welting, or bruising?
