Clinging to Supplements 💊🫨
They cannot let go of their supplements stack even while eating a species appropriate diet, based in red fatty meat. What's your take as a coach, and what does the conversation with the supplement clinging client look like?

@Charlene Andersen whole-heartedly agree with whole steaks being the best versions for us. Ground meat is more optimal than all foods, but when compared to whole cuts, it's almost predigested, and the fat dispersed within the meat is now easily rendered. Ultimately ground beef becomes a pre-digested version of the whole cut and out bodies likely aren't processing it as efficiently. Nonetheless, it's a win/win scenario!

@Patricia Walters this is great! It's more about THEM instead of what you say. Seems like you lay out the groundwork of sufficient foods, less worried about optimal foods, and allow them to go to town. The coaching relationship is symbiotic and is as much about them as it is us! Good call out! In my personal observation, beginners in the Carnivore and low-carb way of eating are used to chicken, and as they become more advanced, people almost always tend to migrate to red meat! They didn't need my suggestion - they started feeling better this way!
Stories about the calorie. Helpful or Stupid? What's your take?
Some of you may know that I'm writing a book about the calorie, and how it became such a ubiquitous metric in health and wellness culture, despite it being inaccurate and inapplicable to human metabolic processes. Anyway, I'm interested in collecting some anecdotes regarding wellness seekers and their experience of the calorie. Has the concept of the calorie impacted you in some way? Would you be willing to share a story? I'm ready to listen to anything you might like to share, even if you love the calorie and have found it useful/helpful in some way. Thanks in advance!

Calories, in the nonsensical mainstream format, are extremely difficult to track accurately. The IN - food, somehow magically converts to the OUT - excercise and basil metabolic rate, while completely ignoring the types of foods that enter the body or the types of excercise the body performs. There's no math equation to make this conversion, just simple assumptions.
