With a lot of writing and keyboard work on the agenda today, I reached for something with a simple strap that wouldn't get in the way, my Timex “Great Smoky Mountains” 40mm National Parks Collection Watch. For a 40mmsize, it rides much lighter and smaller on the wrist while at the same time giving me a simple, visual reminder of the nature and outdoors stories I am working on at the same time. Happy Tool Watch Tuesday! Going with an all-time favorite today, my Casio G-Shock Model GWM5610-1. This amazing piece does nearly everything but the dishes. And even then I have to hold it back from diving into the dishwater for an after dinner swim. This is really my kind of watch. Set it once and enjoy it forever. Well, until 2099, of course. I will revisit setting again in 73 years. Until then, it's all good. Happy Field Watch Friday! My good friends @Jeff Wilkinson and @Warren Money have been tempting me for months with their white dial Militado watches. And being a big fan of the Militado field watches, I couldn't resist any longer so finally caved and added the white dialed Militado ML05 38mm VH31 Quartz 1963 Retro Field Watch a few weeks ago. And love it. The white dial is a great look for this one, and the VH31 sweep second hand never ceases to amaze. Since this arrived with the same strap as my black dial Militado (and love the look of it with the black dial,) I may look to switch this strap to something else at some point.
