💥 Study 3, and we're hiring 105 people to capture 5000 videos!
Hi all!💥 We just opened up Study 3, and we're hiring 105 people to capture 5000 videos! We're opening up a community call about this so I can explain everything in full detail and answer any questions. This is a big one. [NO CLOUDPANO MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED] Here's the part I want to be blunt about: if you have an X5, you have pretty much everything you need. No new gear, no software, no studio. Head-mount it with an Easy Clip or hat clip and you're working. If you don't have an X5, you can rent one and turn it into a very profitable endeavor over a weekend. It really is as simple as doing everyday activities Every asset is a single 10-minute clip. One activity, start to finish, filmed from your point of view while you do it. Walking your dog. Making breakfast. Fixing something in the garage. Folding laundry. The kind of thing you were going to do anyway — except now the camera's on and it pays. No scripts. No staging. No clients. No editing. You clip the camera on, do the thing, stop recording. Recruit your friends This is the part most people miss. You don't have to shoot all of it yourself. Bring your friends in. Hand them a camera, show them the setup once, and let them capture their own everyday activities. Every clip they submit counts. If you run a media company or a drone crew, same deal — bring the whole team and we'll assign volume as a block. There's a per-person cap on how much any one creator can take, which is exactly why we need 105 of you. The people who do best on these studies are the ones who bring three or four friends along. The scope 54 solo activities across 10 everyday categories. Real and unscripted, in your own space. Solo only — no groups, no kids on camera. The setup Insta360 X5, head-mounted. Freeframe, single lens, 4K at 30fps, MaxView, horizontal. That's it. Timing We're starting early September. Slots go first come, first served. Full scope and apply here: https://wins.cloudpano.com/study-3 Prefer to quote your own rate per minute of finished footage? You can do that on the same page too.

Meetings
Hello is there any more meetings for users to exchange ideas / thoughts? It seems like there was at one time. If not would there be interest in starting some up?

@Derick Fischer please do.
Deleting Tours
Has anyone done a clearout of old tours easily? Is anyone else now getting emails on tour views from old tours? @Zach Calhoon how can we do a bulk cull?

Guassian Blur Question
I recently captured a VT of business that's located on the 2nd floor of a business building. There's a stairway to the left and an elevator to the right upon entering the lobby. However, there's an existing business on the 1st floor that my client would like "blurred out," (see attached) or additional information that specifies the stairs and elevator. As a photographer, it would so easy to do. However, has anyone done this before? Would importing this shot into Affinity Photo > Convert to Equirectangular > Brush out the Business name & Add additional information > Export work? Thank you in advance for any of your input/resolve/experience with this issue (see attached) Doug

DepthMaps
DepthMaps are killing me. I have create a small 3 picture tour. One set has depthmaps uploaded the other does not. https://360.patriotdrones.media/tours/g3QSbLIZ-1 I would really like to hear everyones thought on this. ----------------------------------------------------- I used the Depth Anything V2 Base max resolution of 512 I wonder if this is the problem. ---------------------------------------------------------- Below are my options for the depthmaps: Depth-map model options - Depth Anything V2 Small — Commercial use allowed; Apache 2.0 license. A practical lightweight option when you need quicker processing. - Depth Anything V2 Base — Non-commercial only under CC BY-NC 4.0; likely offers stronger results than Small but should not be used in paid client projects. - Depth Anything V2 Large — Non-commercial only under CC BY-NC 4.0; the larger model option, but not suitable for commercial delivery. - MiDaS 3.0 Large — Commercial use allowed under the MIT license. - MiDaS 3.1 Large — Commercial use allowed under the MIT license; a solid choice for professional image batches. - ZoeDepth ZoeD_N — Commercial use allowed under MIT; trained with the NYU Depth V2 dataset, which generally makes it a sensible option for indoor scenes. - ZoeDepth ZoeD_K — Commercial use allowed under MIT; trained with the KITTI dataset, making it relevant to outdoor/street-like imagery. - ZoeDepth ZoeD_NK — Commercial use allowed under MIT; trained on both NYU and KITTI and described by the developer as the most versatile ZoeDepth option. - Depth Pro — Available as another model-weight option; its download is nearly 2 GB, and the add-on currently runs it on CPU only rather than GPU. Other depth options - Depth-map styles — The product advertises 17 styles, so you can create alternate visual interpretations of each estimated depth map rather than being limited to one grayscale result. - Batch sources — Process a directory of still images or video, then save the generated maps locally without relying on an external API. - GPU acceleration — Optional GPU support is available through CUDA for NVIDIA GPUs or MPS for Mac GPUs; if no compatible GPU is detected, it falls back to CPU. - CPU-only workflow — You can explicitly disable GPU use, and Depth Pro is presently CPU-only regardless.
