One thing I appreciate about the ECA internship is that we are not only being instructed to complete simple labs. We are learning how to work through production responsibilities: reviewing Jira requirements, researching unfamiliar tasks, documenting evidence, communicating blockers, and considering how our work may affect the environment. Learning a tool is important. Learning how to use it responsibly is just as important. Good morning ECA Cyber Range Members! Did you miss it? No worries! I recorded it! BUT, I did miss YOU!! These sessions are never about me or any of the speakers we host - this is 100% about you! You getting an opportunity to ask your questions and get industry answers. You being able to talk to "been there, done that" people who can give you the reality of things. You being able to hear what's top of mind from peers and others on topics you care about. Without you, I just share what I believe may be topics you care about. For example, last night I decided to provide some of the latest updates from the company I just rejoined - Cribl. I took some time to share about the evolution of first-principles being applied to go from telemetry pipeline application to a cloud data tool platform that has allowed people to pick and choose a composable architecture. Cribl definitely is not the same as it was 8-9 years ago when it first introduced Cribl Stream. Our next session is in a month - Monday, September 14th.
