Are you interested in learning to jam?
I’m thinking of building a course that specifically targets learning how to jam freely on your bass… I’d love to hear your thoughts and comments. Thx Murph⚡️

Definitely would like to see that.

Welcome
Hey what’s up PLAY BETTER BASS is here to help you play better, lock in harder, groove better, and have more fun doing it. If you just joined, welcome. Jump into the community and introduce yourself. Tell us where you’re from, who your favorite bass player is, and what made you want to play bass. Be cool to everyone and they’ll be cool back to you. ⚡ The more you dive in — connect, share, ask questions, and encourage others — the more you’ll get out of this community. Glad you’re here.

Hi all, I am Jay from Florida (originally from Massachusetts). I absolutely adore playing the bass. I have been playing for over 16 years starting at the tender age of 53. I play regularly in a band and my favorite genres are Rock from the 60s, 70s and 90s. Motown, Reggae and funk. I have been doing some form of formal lessons more or less continuously for 16 plus years and have had some great teachers along the way. My favorite bass players are James Jamerson, Chuck Rainey, Tommy Cogbill and Pino Pallidino not in any particular order. I had a wonderful call with Murphy yesterday. Looking forward to learning more here on this site!
