THe quick quartz grab
After a weekend full of projects and the G5600 on the wrist my automatics all needed to be set and I was feeling quite lazy this morning so the Seiko SUR307 came out of the watch box. This is why I always like to keep quartz watches around! As much as I love and enjoy my autos sometimes you just need the easy grab and go, just had to fix the date and I was on my way.

You can't go wrong with a white dial and baton indices, and a grab & go quartz like that is always the right choice. I have several grab & go quartz watches, but the only ones with a white dial are my work Militado and a vintage Seiko chronograph. I may need to look into one like this.

@David Denham Jr That's a great deal, I'm seeing pre-owned ones on eBay for $200.
WOTD - The Jeffrey watch
The force is strong with this one, today were celebrating @Jeffrey Plotka who convinced me to buy this watch. I always said that if I ever bought a Seiko it would be the Alpinist.

Love that green dial, Warren! Beautiful shot with the green foliage, too.
Blue Monday's Erebus Ascent Blue MOP Dial
Happy "Blue" Monday! The beautiful Blue MOP dial on this Erebus 39mm Ascent Automatic has been calling to me all weekend waiting for this morning. But not only is this simply a gorgeous MOP dial, in my trending lower-end-of-the-price-scale collection this Erebus has by far the cleanest, easiest, and best operating crown and date setting feature of any of my watches. Works perfectly and immediately every time, without having to fiddle around trying to find the right crown slot to adjust the date. And so smooth. Simply an overall amazing watch. I cropped the photo of this rather closely to hopefully display the texture and colors of this mesmerizing MOP dial which continually shifts colors as the light angle changes. Best wishes for a beautiful "Blue" Monday! 😀

Monday’s watch is my anOrdain. This is one of those watches that I enjoy for reasons that are a little different from many of the others in my collection. There’s no famous racing history attached to it. No moon landing. No decades-long pursuit. Instead, what drew me to anOrdain was the craft. The company is based in Glasgow, Scotland, and has become known for producing vitreous enamel dials using traditional techniques that are incredibly difficult to execute consistently. Each dial is individually made, fired, finished, and — because of the nature of enamel — develops its own character. That is a big part of what makes this watch so interesting to me. In these photos, the dial can look burgundy, plum, brown or almost smoky depending on the light. Move your wrist a few degrees and the entire personality of the watch seems to change. It’s subtle. But the longer you look, the more you see. And I think that is one of the things I’ve come to appreciate more as my collecting journey has evolved. Not every watch needs to announce itself from across the room. Sometimes the most interesting pieces are the ones that reward you for slowing down and actually looking at them. There is also something particularly satisfying about wearing a watch where you can see the evidence of traditional handcraft. As I continue learning more about watchmaking myself, I find that I’m becoming increasingly drawn to that side of the hobby — the people, the processes, and the skills that go into making something beautiful. So for the start of another week, this felt like a very good choice. A handmade enamel dial, a simple leather strap, and another Monday to be grateful for. Another week. Another opportunity to make some memories. And another watch along for the ride. 😎🙏

That's a beautiful dial! In the wrist roll it even takes on a purplish hue for a second.
