Good afternoon! 💗🧪 Happy Monday, October 19!
It’s time for your Weekly Pattern Check in The L.O.V.E. Lab! We’ve been building a meaningful progression: - October 5: Operating Emotion — What’s underneath my reaction? - October 12: Values & Vision — Do my actions reflect my values? - October 19: Healthy Interdependence — Am I allowing others to show up for me? This week’s reflection explores the difference between healthy independence and hyper-independence, a powerful relationship pattern that aligns beautifully with both L.O.V.E. C.O.D.E.™ and Reclaim Her Agency™. 🔎 WEEKLY PATTERN CHECK | Can You Receive the Love You Desire? ❤️ Sometimes the very independence that helped us survive can make it difficult to receive support in our relationships. We may desire partnership, emotional connection, and teamwork, yet find ourselves saying: 💭 “I’ll just do it myself.” 💭 “It’s easier if I handle it.” 💭 “I don’t want to burden anyone.” Sound familiar? Here’s something worth reflecting on: Have you become so accustomed to being the dependable one that you’ve forgotten how to let someone show up for you? Healthy relationships aren’t built on complete dependence or hyper-independence. They’re strengthened through healthy interdependence—two individuals who maintain their agency while learning to give, receive, and grow together. 💗 This week’s reflection: Complete this sentence in the comments: “One area where I struggle to receive support is ________, and one way I can practice allowing support this week is ________.” Remember, Love Geeks: You don’t have to lose yourself to love others. And you don’t have to do everything yourself to remain strong. ❤️ That’s what we’re learning as we move from loving by Default to loving By Design. — The Marriage Pastor & Coach Shavon

One area where I struggle to receive support is receiving compliments, and one way I can practice allowing support this week is embracing the positive things people have to say about me.
